Kerroinkin jo että taannoin kävi pieni lusikansoitto-äksidentti. Yli-innokas musisointi aiheutti polven yläpuolelle jättimäisen mustelman. No eipä siinä mitään, vahinkoja sattuu. Paitsi että viikko siitä eteenpäin piti olla esiintymiskondiksessa burleskin merkeissä. Tarkottaa jokseenkin paljon paljasta pintaa. Nyrkin kokoinen mustelma ei oikein sovi yksiin glamöröösien esiintymisasujen kanssa, joten ei muuta kuin maskeerauspuuhiin sitten vaan.  Kaikki ovat varmaan jo kuulleet ns. Zombie boy-meikistä joka peittää ihan kaiken mahdollisen. Mutta jos sitä ei satu olemaan ensihätään käsillä niin muitakin keinoja on.  Tatuointeja voi myös peittää samalla tavalla. Näin se käy:

Tarvitset:
runsaspigmenttistä rasvapohjaista peitemeikkiä (ei nestemäistä, esim Grimas, Kryolan, Joe Blasco)
peitesivellin, huulipunasivellin tai vastaava
meikkisieni
meikkivoidetta
irtopuuteria, sävy translucent

I mentioned that earlier I had a tiny spoon-playing accident. Over-excitable musical act caused huge bruise above my knee. Well, not to worry, accidents happen. Except that week later I was supposed to perform burlesque. Which means quite a lot of bare skin. Bruise size of my own fist didn’t exactly go together with glamourous stage outfits, so I grabbed my makeup kit and off to work. Everybody have probably heard about the Zombie boy-makeup, which covers everything. But if you don’t happen to have that there are other ways too. You can also cover tattoos the same way. This is how it works:

You will need:
grease based cover makeup heavy on pigments (not liquid kind, Grimas, Kryolan, Joe Blasco etc.)
cover brush, lip brush or similar
makeup sponge
makeup base
loose translucent powder

Käytin Joe Blascon Tattoo Cover 1:stä, mutta muutkin vastaavat tuotteet käyvät. /
I used Joe Blasco Tattoo Cover 1 but
other similar products will do.

1. Levitä öljytön kosteusvoide / Apply oilfree moisturiser

2. Levitä peiteainetta siveltimellä, kerros kerrokselta kunnes
koko mustelma on peitossa. /
Apply the cover makeup with the brush,
untill the whole bruise is covered.

3. Levitä niin monta kerrosta kuin on tarpeen, häivytä reunat
ja siveltimenvedot joko sormin tai meikkisienellä. /
Apply as many layers as needed, blend edges and brush strokes
either by fingers or with makeup sponge.

4. Levitä varovasti ihosi sävyinen meikkivoide sienellä painellen
ja häivytä huolellisesti. Varo pyyhkimästä peiteainetta pois. /
Apply carefully the makeup base with sponge, match the shade
to your skin tone. Be carefull not to wipe the coverup off.

5. Puuteroi mustelma lopuksi huolella useampaan kertaan./
Finish the job by powdering the are several times.

Valitettavasti tämän parempaa kuvaa valmiista peitemeikistä ei ole, 
mutta tästä nyt selvinnee miten hyvin tuo on peitossa. Toki läheltä
tarkasteltuna vähän vielä kuultaa läpi, mutta kauempaa katsoen ei juuri erota. /

through just little, when looking closely, but from further distance
it’s pretty much invisible.
