Kun aamulla kömpii ulos makuuhuoneesta ja astuu paljaalla jalallaan rotankakkaan sitä toivoo että olisi vain jäänyt sänkyyn. Sitä luulisi että kun on lemmikkeinä pääasiassa häkissä asuvia pikkujyrsijöitä, ne olisivat kohtalaisen siistejä eläimiä. Mutta ei. Illalla kun on imuroitu niin aamulla on rottahäkin edessä lattialla lapiollinen sontaa. Tai no, suurin osa siitä kasasta oli puuhaketta, ruuantähteitä ja pahvinpaloja. Rotilla kun on häkissä pahvinen putki jonka sisällä on kiva nukkua, mutta siitä on myös kiva repiä pahvinkappaleita. Erityisesti isompi rotista, Vala, rakastaa “siivota” häkkiä ja tuupata “roskat” häkin raoista lattialle.

IN ENGLISH
When you come out of your bedroom in the morning and step on rat poop with your bare foot you wish you would have stayed in bed. You would also think that when having such small pets who mainly live in their cage they would be rather clean animals. But no. You have hoovered in the evening, and in the morning there is pile of rubbish on the floor. Rubbish including some rat poop, wood chips, food leftovers and pieces of cardboard. Rats have cardboard tube in the cage. They love to sleep in it, but they also love to rip it into pieces. Especially the larger one, Vala, loves also to “clean” the cage and throw “rubbish” on the floor through the cage gaps.
