Joitakin vuosia sitten ostin kirpputorilta historiallisen paperinuken. Täysin hyödytön kapistus tietysti, mutta ah niin nätti. Paperinukessa on yksi pieni suunnitteluvirhe. Sitä olisi kiva pitää esillä ja vaihtaa sille asuja, mutta kartonki jolle nukke asuineen on painettu on täysin sopimaton sellaiseen. Vaihtovaatteita päällä pitävät pienet nipukat, sekä nuken takaosassa oleva jalkaosa eivät pysy muotoon taivutettuna vaan suoristuvat itsekseen (kuten kuvasta näkyy) joten vaatteet putoavat päältä ja jalan liikkuessa nukke kaatuu kumoon.

Several years ago I bought historical paper doll from flea market. Totally useless item of course, but oh so pretty. There is slight design flaw in it. It would be nice to have it on display and change outfits on. However the card it and the outfits were printed on, is totally unsuitable for this use. Little flips that hold the dresses on and the back stand behind the doll are not staying folded (as you can see in the photo). They keep unfolding and so the clothes fall off and doll tips over when the back support moves on it’s own.
