Suuri osa autoilijoista vaihtaa pitk\u00e4t valot pois ihan jopa alle\u00a0sata metri\u00e4 ennen kohtaamista ja iso osa ei ollenkaan. Mit\u00e4 siell\u00e4 autokoulussa nyky\u00e4\u00e4n opetetaan? Ei varmaan ainakaan ajoturvallisuutta.

\nI have been driving longer trips in the dark hours recently. Many times in quite bad weather aswell (sleeting, fog, what ever)<\/strong><\/span>. And because of that I started thinking about something. Is driving in the dark some sort of competition for drivers these days? Sort of dare devil with full beam lights, who dares to keep them on the longest? In the dark when it’s sleeting, when you have been driving already an hour and there would be another one to go, your eyes are\u00a0rather tired. So it is really lovely when the other drivers don’t really bother with the half beams at all. It’s also rather exciting when lorry drivers decide to put their whole set of full beams (with what ever extra lights they got on the roof)<\/strong> <\/span>just when they are passing you. Based on my experience the other day I can tell you that the world goes just plain pure white at that point and you are steering with just pure luck.<\/p>\n

But do you have any idea why are the drivers being so stupid? I don’t think it was this bad before. Most drivers change off of full\u00a0beams just about 100 meters or less before they go past and some of then never do. What do the teach in the driving school these days? Probably not the safe driving anyway.
