Vaihdoin tosin yksityiselt\u00e4 tanssisalilta kansalaisopiston tunneille, koska raha. Meill\u00e4 on siell\u00e4 aivan loistava ohjaaja, Virpi, joka antaa sopivasti haastetta, mutta ei nipottele turhasta. Vuosia sitten irlantilaisen tanssin harrastukseni nimitt\u00e4in p\u00e4\u00e4ttyi siihen kun ensim\u00e4isell\u00e4 tunnilla olisi pit\u00e4nyt saada jalka t\u00e4ysin suorana nousemaan 90 asteen kulmaan, siis vy\u00f6t\u00e4r\u00f6n tasolle. Ajattelin ett\u00e4 jos t\u00e4\u00e4 on t\u00e4mm\u00f6st\u00e4 nipotusta\u00a0niin ei ole mun paikka t\u00e4m\u00e4 tanssitunti, enk\u00e4 mennyt toiste. Kirjoittelin joskus aiemmin siit\u00e4 miten <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evildressmaker.com\/?p=5775\" target=\"_blank\">ensimm\u00e4ist\u00e4 kertaa el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4ni<\/a> tuntuu ett\u00e4 oma laji on vihdoin l\u00f6ytynyt. En ole kirjoittanut baletista silti mit\u00e4\u00e4n koska ei ole tuntunut sille ett\u00e4 siit\u00e4 olisi mit\u00e4\u00e4n sanottavaa.<\/p>\n<p>Olen varmaankin aika j\u00e4ykk\u00e4 p\u00f6kkel\u00f6 verrattuna joihinkin samoilla tunneilla k\u00e4yviin, jotka ovat selke\u00e4sti harrastaneet balettia tai muuta vastaavaa liikuntaa jo aiemmin el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4\u00e4n. Tosin ei se kai ihmek\u00e4\u00e4n kun en ole oikein koko ik\u00e4n\u00e4ni harrastanut liikuntaa kovinkaan aktiivisesti. Er\u00e4s joogaa harrastava tanssikaveri nostaa jalkaa niin kevyen n\u00e4k\u00f6isesti joka tunnilla ett\u00e4 kateellisena seurailen h\u00e4nen liikeratojaan<span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong> (joo, nousee t\u00e4ysin suorana vy\u00f6t\u00e4r\u00f6n yl\u00e4puolelle)<\/strong><\/span>. Tosin kyll\u00e4 h\u00e4nkin tunnusti viimekerralla ett\u00e4 jalka nousee, mutta asennon s\u00e4ilytt\u00e4minen samana koko vaaditun ajan on tuskaa.<\/p>\n<p>Baletti itsess\u00e4\u00e4n perustuu pitk\u00e4lti erilaisiin venytyksiin. Esim. perusliike <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/oZJjbg0xUW0\" target=\"_blank\">battement jet\u00e9<\/a>, jossa jalkaa nostetaan polvi suorana eteen, sivulle tai taakse\u00a0sit\u00e4 ei tehd\u00e4 etureitt\u00e4 repim\u00e4ll\u00e4 vaan enemm\u00e4nkin takareitt\u00e4 ja pakaraa venytt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4<span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>(paitsi taakse nostaessa tietenkin venytet\u00e4\u00e4n my\u00f6s etureitt\u00e4)<\/strong><\/span>. Aktiivinen balettiharrastus siis notkistaa ja venytt\u00e4\u00e4 lihaksia automaattisesti. Olen kuitenkin p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00e4nyt, ett\u00e4 asialle pit\u00e4\u00e4 tehd\u00e4 jotain muutakin, jotta liikkeet sujuisivat tunnilla v\u00e4h\u00e4n helpommin. Niinp\u00e4 olen alkanut k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n viikonloppuaamut venyttelyyn. Kun is\u00e4nt\u00e4 viel\u00e4 on unimatin mailla, min\u00e4 hiippailen olohuoneen matolle venyttelem\u00e4\u00e4n. Pitkitt\u00e4isspagaatti ei ihan viel\u00e4 onnistu, mutta olen ottanut sen tavoitteeksi. Lonkkien venytt\u00e4minen helpottaa my\u00f6s jalan aukikiertoa, joka on baletissa olennainen loukkaantumisten v\u00e4ltt\u00e4miseksi. Sen verran etua\u00a0olen balettiharrastuksesta jo huomannut tulevan, ett\u00e4 se v\u00e4hent\u00e4\u00e4\u00a0migreeni\u00e4ni.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.evildressmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/inenglish.gif\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7004\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.evildressmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/inenglish.gif?resize=214%2C100\" alt=\"inenglish\" width=\"214\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have regularly been going to ballet class about two years now. I changed from private dance studio to night school, cause it&#8217;s cheaper. We have absolutely lovely teacher, Virpi, who gives us enough challenge, but doesn&#8217;t do nitpicking. Years ago my dreams of doing Irish dance were crushed, when on the very first lesson the teacher wanted us to lift our leg straight as an iron bar to 90 degrees, up to the waist level. I thought that if this class is going to be this uptight, it is not my place too be. And never went back. I wrote about how I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evildressmaker.com\/?p=5775\" target=\"_blank\">first time in my life<\/a> feel like I have finally found my genre for sports. And guess what?! I still feel that way. I haven&#8217;t really been writing more about ballet, because it feels I didn&#8217;t really have much to say about it.<\/p>\n<p>I must be pretty stiff log compared to some people who go to the same class than I do. Some of them clearly have done ballet before, or other dance genres, or some other similar sports. I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s really any surprise I&#8217;m that stiff though, since I&#8217;ve never really done much anything in my life. Not actively anyways. One yogi on the class lifts her legs\u00a0up ever so lightly I just can&#8217;t stop watching enviously <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>(yup, above her waistline)<\/strong><\/span>. All though she did admit last time that it&#8217;s easy to lift, but really hard to hold it up the whole required time.<\/p>\n<p>Ballet itself is mostly based on stretches. For example the basic move <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/oZJjbg0xUW0\" target=\"_blank\">battement jet\u00e9<\/a>, where you keep your whole leg straight and lift it\u00a0up either front, side or back. You are not supposed to use that much of your front thigh muscles, but rather stretch the backside of your thigh and buttock <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>(and of course when lifting up at back you also stretch the front of your thigh)<\/strong><\/span>. If you go to regular ballet classes, they are making you more flexible and stretches your muscles automatically. However I have decided that I must do something about it, to make the workout in the class a bit easier. So I have started early morning stretching in the weekends. When hubby is still\u00a0in the land of dreams, I sneak into our living room to do stretching. Front split doesn&#8217;t quite work yet, but that is my goal. Stretching the hips should also help on the turnout of the leg, which is essential in ballet to prevent the injuries.
