P\u00e4\u00e4dyimme lopputulokseen, ett\u00e4 samantyyliseen makuun saattaisi p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 tekem\u00e4ll\u00e4 itse ruususiirappia ja sekoittamalla sit\u00e4 kivenn\u00e4isveteen. Viime juhannuksena otinkin sitten projektiksi kokeilla ruususiirapin tekemist\u00e4 \u00e4itini ruusupuskien antimilla. Projektini meni v\u00e4h\u00e4n\u00a0m\u00f6nk\u00e4\u00e4n. L\u00f6yt\u00e4m\u00e4ni ohje k\u00e4ski keitt\u00e4\u00e4 siirappia pitk\u00e4\u00e4n jotta se kiinteytyy. No min\u00e4h\u00e4n sitten keittelin antaumuksella ja siit\u00e4 tuli purkissa sokeria<span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong> (ei menny niinkuin Str\u00f6ms\u00f6ss\u00e4)<\/strong><\/span>. Se siis kiteytyi eik\u00e4 sen j\u00e4lkeen en\u00e4\u00e4 oikein liuennut kylm\u00e4\u00e4n juomaan. Pystyin kyll\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n t\u00e4t\u00e4 mukavasti ruusulta maistuvaa sokeria mm. aamupalajugurtissa ja teess\u00e4.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c4itini kokeili my\u00f6hemmin ruususiirapin tekoa uudelleen ja saikin aikaan varsin mukavalta maistuvaa ruusunpunaista siirappia, joka liukeni hienosti kivenn\u00e4isveteen.\u00a0En voi siis viel\u00e4 kehua t\u00e4ysin itse tekem\u00e4ll\u00e4ni ruususiirapilla, onneksi kuitenkin sain \u00e4idilt\u00e4 uuden er\u00e4n ruususiirappia taas t\u00e4n\u00e4 kes\u00e4n\u00e4. Ruususesonki ei ole ihan viel\u00e4 ohi, joten t\u00e4ss\u00e4 ohje siirapin tekoon. M\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4t ovat viitteellisi\u00e4.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Ruususiirappi<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>2\u00a0kuppia tiiviisti pakattuja ruusun ter\u00e4lehti\u00e4<br \/>\n3\u00a0kuppia vett\u00e4<br \/>\n3\u00a0kuppia sokeria<\/p>\n<p>Puhdista ja huuhdo ter\u00e4lehdet. Liota niit\u00e4 vedess\u00e4 y\u00f6n yli j\u00e4\u00e4kaapissa. Kiehauta ruusuvett\u00e4 ter\u00e4lehtineen, lis\u00e4\u00e4 sokeri. Keit\u00e4 seosta noin 10 minuuttia. Siivil\u00f6i ter\u00e4lehdet pois. S\u00e4il\u00f6 desinfioituun pulloon. S\u00e4ilyt\u00e4 j\u00e4\u00e4kaapissa. Sekoita reilu loraus siirappia lasilliseen kivenn\u00e4isvett\u00e4. Sopii my\u00f6s vaniljaj\u00e4\u00e4tel\u00f6n kanssa, lettujen p\u00e4\u00e4lle tai kuumaan veteen sekoitettuna. Jos haluat tehd\u00e4 rakeisempaa sokeria, keit\u00e4 pidemp\u00e4\u00e4n. Sokeriin voit j\u00e4tt\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s ter\u00e4lehdet antamaan makua ja rakennetta.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.evildressmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/inenglish.gif\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7004\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.evildressmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/inenglish.gif?resize=214%2C100\" alt=\"inenglish\" width=\"214\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two summers ago\u00a0I tasted rose lemonade in a cafe for the very first time. It was so delicious that me and my friend started to wonder is it possible to make it yourself. We came up to the idea that similar result might be acheavable by mixing rose syrup and mineral water. Last Midsummer I tried making rose syrup of my mums roses. My project was a sort of a failure. The recipe I found claimed that syrup should be boiled a long time. So I did, without hesitation and it turned into sugar. It crystallized in a jar and didn&#8217;t solve into the cold drinks anymore. I was still able to use that lovely rose flavoured sugar in my breakfast yogurt and tea.<\/p>\n<p>Later on mum tried making rose syrup and managed to create quite lovely tasting, rosy\u00a0red syrup which mixed nicely with mineral water. I haven&#8217;t been able to try again myself, but I managed to get couple new bottles from mum this summer. Rose season is not over just yet, so here&#8217;s the recipe. Amounts are just guidelines.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Rose syrup<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>2 cups of tightly packet rose petals<br \/>\n3 cups of water<br \/>\n3 cups of sugar<\/p>\n<p>Clean and rinse rose petals. Soak them in water over night in fridge. Bring rosewater with petals to boil, add sugar. Boil about 10 minutes. Sieve the petals out. Bottle and store in fridge. Mix with mineral water to get refreshing summer drink. Works also with vanilla ice cream, on top of pancakes or mixed with hot water for a drink. If you want to make sugar, boil longer.
