T\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna lokakuu on ollut jotenkin kamalan raskas. Alkukuusta oli tietysti hauskaa hubaa Turun burleskifestivaaleilla\u00a0ja heti per\u00e4\u00e4n matkustimme Tukholman burleskifestareille esiintym\u00e4\u00e4n. Mutta ilkamointikin vaatii veronsa ja toipumiseen meni viikko.\u00a0Loppukuu olikin sitten yht\u00e4 alam\u00e4ke\u00e4 koska auton jarrut alkoivat temppuilla ja p\u00e4\u00e4llep\u00e4\u00e4tteeksi saimme suru-uutisia Englanninmaalta. Reilun viikon p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 matkustamme sinne hautajaisiin. Eik\u00e4 tuo is\u00e4nn\u00e4n toukokuussa operoitu olkap\u00e4\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4n ole osoittanut ihan niin hyvin paranemisen merkkej\u00e4 kuin olimme toivoneet. Itse olen sent\u00e4\u00e4n ollut terveen\u00e4 pient\u00e4 nuhaa lukuunottamatta, joskin ehk\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4n alamaissa muuten.<\/p>\n
Mutta eip\u00e4 j\u00e4\u00e4d\u00e4 tuleen makaamaan. M\u00e4h\u00e4n olen unohtanut kertoa teille ett\u00e4 olen aloittanut uuden hauskan harrastuksen. Liityin nimitt\u00e4in alkukuusta n\u00f6rtti-naiskuoroon. Sielt\u00e4 l\u00f6ytyi heti mukavasti liuta uusia samanhenkisi\u00e4 kavereita. Porukka ei ota kuorolaulua kumminkaan turhan vakavasti, joten mukaan sopi my\u00f6s t\u00e4mm\u00f6inen wannabe-laulaja. \u00a0Yet Another Castle-kuorossa<\/a> lauleskellaan leffoista, peleist\u00e4 ja tv-sarjoista tuttuja biisej\u00e4. T\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 laulun alla on Game of Thrones-sarjan tunnari, Lord of the Ringsist\u00e4 tuttu May it be ja muutama ikivanha juomalaulu (PS. Lis\u00e4\u00e4kin laulajia mahtuu mukaan!)<\/strong><\/span>. Alustavasti olemme pohtineet mahdollisuutta tehd\u00e4 pikkujouluaikaan pient\u00e4 pubi-kierrosta juomalauluk\u00f6\u00f6rin merkeiss\u00e4, mutta t\u00e4m\u00e4 j\u00e4\u00e4 n\u00e4ht\u00e4v\u00e4ksi. Ja t\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n en aio m\u00f6k\u00f6tt\u00e4\u00e4 koska luvassa Horroria koko rahan edest\u00e4 ja kavereiden mukavaa seuraa pikkutunneille asti.<\/p>\n Yesterday was supposed to be Recycle Fairy-update, but I forgot. There’s been all sorts of other stuff to think about. I will postpone it for later. Tomorrow I will draw the winners for the giveaway. And today, according to the usual schedule, is the “How did my October go”-post, aka Instagram photos.<\/p>\n Usually October is one of my favourite months, not just because it’s my birthday month. Weather turns to more crispy and clear (I just love it when world turns frosty)<\/strong> <\/span>and Halloween season starts. Even though I don’t really like horror movies (they come into my dreams)<\/strong><\/span> I do like Halloween-parties and all other more gentle horror-themed stuff. In October there is also the worldwide Thrill the World-event<\/a>, where Michael Jackson\u00a0fans come together and perform the dance from Michael Jackson’s Thriller. I could not participate this year either, but perhaps next year is possible. Taking part on the event requires learning the dance steps and wearing something zombie-themed (and here in Finland it also has to be suitable for cold Autumn weather)<\/strong><\/span>. I haven’t had the chance to join in yet, so I don’t have the outfit ready, nor learned\u00a0the moves yet.<\/p>\n This year the October has been somewhat tough. In the beginning of the month there was fun parties at the Turku Burlesque Festival and right after that we travelled to Stockholm to perform in their International Burlesque Festival. But even fun times take their toll, it took me a week to recover. Rest of the month have been a bit downfall. Car brakes started to act up and to top the misery up, we received sad news from England. In little over a week we travel to England\u00a0for a funeral. Not to mention hubby’s shoulder, which hasn’t recovered from the operation as good as we hoped. Atleast I have been feeling well, except for tiny flu and a bit depressed feeling.<\/p>\n But I won’t let it get to me. I haven’t even told you yet that month ago I started a new hobby. I joined a geek choir. I found plentiful of like-minded friends in a flash. And they don’t take the singing too serious either, so me as a wannabe-singer was gladly accepted to join. Yet Another Castle is a female choir for movie, tv-series and game theme tunes. At this moment we are singing Game of Thrones-theme, May it be from Lord of the Rings and couple ancient drinking songs. We were pondering about the possibility on doing\u00a0a little pub tour during the Christmas season, singing the drinking songs, but we will see how that turns out.
