Ja toki aika must-kohde my\u00f6s meille paikallisille. K\u00e4vimme nimitt\u00e4in t\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n uudelleen Amurin ty\u00f6l\u00e4ismuseokorttelissa ja muistin taas miten hieno paikka se onkaan, ihan keskell\u00e4 Tamperetta. Museossa vierailu aiheutti my\u00f6skin vakavaa annoskateutta n\u00e4in vintage-harrastajan n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Museoesineiden joukossa on nimitt\u00e4in muutamia aika herkkuja pukuja, kenki\u00e4, laukkuja ja hattuja jotka olisin ihan mielell\u00e4ni salakuljettanut kotiin samantien.<\/p>\n

Amurin ty\u00f6l\u00e4iskortteli on museo joka on rakennettu ainutlaatuiseen ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00f6n, autenttiseen talokortteliin jossa Finlaysonin tekstiilitehtaan ty\u00f6l\u00e4iset asuivat 1880-luvusta l\u00e4htien 1970-luvulle asti. Kortteli k\u00e4sitt\u00e4\u00e4 viisi asuinrakennusta sek\u00e4 pihan keskell\u00e4 sijaitsevat ulkorakennukset. Talot ovat ns. yhteiskeitti\u00f6it\u00e4, eli talon keskell\u00e4 sijaitsevan suurehkon keitti\u00f6n ymp\u00e4rill\u00e4 on nelj\u00e4 vuokra-asuntoa jotka kaikki k\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t t\u00e4t\u00e4 yhteist\u00e4 keitti\u00f6t\u00e4.\u00a0Taloista nelj\u00e4 on sisustettu eri aikausien tyyliin.<\/span>\u00a0Sisustukset pyrkiv\u00e4t j\u00e4ljittelem\u00e4\u00e4n kunkin aikakauden sisustusta mahdollisimman autenttisesti, kuin asukkaat olisivat vain hetkeksi piipahtaneet poissa kotoaan. Museokortteliin kuuluvat my\u00f6s ajanmukaiset leipomo, yhteissauna, paperikauppa ja osuuskauppa. <\/span><\/p>\n

Korttelin viidenness\u00e4 asuinrakennuksessa toimii nostalginen kahvila Amurin Helmi, jonka leivonnaiset ovat jo muodostuneet legendaksi. Kahvilaksi Amurin Helmi on varsin suuri, joten isommallakin porukalla mahtuu, mutta kahvila on kes\u00e4isin ja viikonloppuisin my\u00f6s eritt\u00e4in suosittu. Pahoittelen kuvien huonohkoa laatua, j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4kamera unohtui matkasta ja museon h\u00e4m\u00e4r\u00e4n valaistuksen vuoksi puhelimella otetut kuvat ovat jokseenkin k\u00f6kk\u00f6isi\u00e4. Saanette n\u00e4ist\u00e4 kuitenkin k\u00e4sityst\u00e4 paikan hienoudesta (huomaatte varmaan, ett\u00e4 olen aika vaikuttunut… viimeksi museossa k\u00e4ydess\u00e4ni en viel\u00e4 harrastanut vintagea…)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If you ever happen to visit Tampere and are wondering where to go and what to see, here is one awesome tip for you. And of course it is must-see for local people too. We visited today Amuri Museum of Workers Housing again and I remembered how awesome place it is, right in the middle of the town. Visiting this museum also gave me rather sever case of vintage-enviosum. There are couple rather awesome vintage dresses, shoes, bags and hats amongst the museum items, which I quite gladly would have wanted to smuggle back home with me.<\/p>\n

Amuri Museum is built in rather unique location, in an authentic housing block, which was inhabited by Finlayson textile factory workers since 1880’s all the way to the 70’s. Block consists of five housing buildings and other additional buildings in the center of the yard. Houses are so called combined kitchens, which means that there is one large kitchen in the middle of the house, surrounded by four rental rooms, occupied by tennants who all used that one same kitchen. Four of the houses are arranged to reflect certain times. Interiors are trying to imitate each time period as authentic as possible, just like the people living there just popped outside for short moment. Housing block also includes museum bakers, sauna, paper shop and little general store.<\/p>\n

The fifth housing building is now working as a nostalgic cafe Amurin Helmi (Pearl of Amuri)<\/strong><\/span>. Their bakery products are now almost legendary. For a cafe Amurin Helmi is quite large, so there is plenty of room for bigger group of people there. However the cafe is also very popular during the summer and weekends. I forgot my DSLR camera and the dim lighting conditions in the museum didn’t really work with the phone camera very well. But I assume you can get the idea (notice how amazed I am… last time when I visited the museum, I wasn’t really doing so much vintage yet….)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
