Sain joskus ehk\u00e4 vuosi sitten tutulta t\u00e4m\u00e4n jo parhaat p\u00e4iv\u00e4ns\u00e4 n\u00e4hneen vintage-viuhkan kun h\u00e4n ajatteli ett\u00e4 ehk\u00e4 min\u00e4 osaisin arvostaa sit\u00e4. H\u00e4nen mukaansa viuhka on jostakin 20-luvulta. Arvostan toki, viuhka vain on jo niin huonossa kunnossa ett\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n siit\u00e4 ei miss\u00e4\u00e4n tapauksessa ole. Olen ajatellut ett\u00e4 kiinnit\u00e4n viuhkan taakse puuvillaista tylli\u00e4, jollaisesta viuhka on alunperinkin valmistettu, tukemaan haurasta pitsi\u00e4. Tylli mulla on jo valmiina <span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>(joka on pirun kallista muuten)<\/strong><\/span>, mutta operaatio tulee olemaan pitk\u00e4llinen ja hidas joten en ole viel\u00e4 saanut aloitettua sit\u00e4.<\/p>\n<p>Vaikka konservointi antaa odottaa itse\u00e4\u00e4n niin voimme silti nauttia viuhkan kauneudesta joka vaurioista huolimatta on ilmeinen. Viuhkaan on k\u00e4ytetty ohutta tyllipitsi\u00e4 ja kolmea erimuotoista pikkupaljettia, py\u00f6reit\u00e4, kukanmuotoisia ja t\u00e4hdenmuotoisia. Ne ovat varmasti kimaltaneet ihanasti h\u00e4m\u00e4r\u00e4ss\u00e4 juhlavalaistuksessa kun viuhkan omistaja on viehkosti l\u00f6yhytellyt kasvojaan tanssittuaan hieman liian vauhdikkaasti. Sitten kun saan viuhkan kunnostettua laitan sen makuuhuoneen sein\u00e4lle muistuttamaan ett\u00e4 el\u00e4m\u00e4n ei pid\u00e4 olla liian vakavaa ja ankeaa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.evildressmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/inenglish.gif\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7004\" alt=\"inenglish\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.evildressmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/inenglish.gif?resize=214%2C100\" width=\"214\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My next vintage treasure is on the series &#8220;when-I-have-the-time&#8221;-projects. Perhaps about a year ago I got this fan from a friend, because she thought I would value it&#8217;s beauty. She thinks the fan is 1920&#8217;s. Fan has seen better days, and in no means it is usable anymore, but I definitely value the beauty of it. I have thought to do some repair work on it, by attaching some cotton tulle behind the fan, to support the fragile lace. I already have the tulle <span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>(darn expensive, I have to say!)<\/strong><\/span>, but it will be quite long and slow process so I haven&#8217;t managed to start it yet.<\/p>\n<p>Even though the repairs aren&#8217;t done yet, we can still appreciate and enjoy the beauty of the fan. Despite of the flaws, the beauty is quite obvious. Very fine tulle lace and three different shapes of sequins: round, flower and star, make it quite unique. The sequins must have sparkled wonderfully in the dim party lighting when the owner gracefully fanned her face after dancing little bit too fast.
