Minulla on t\u00e4n\u00e4 syksyn\u00e4 ollut tavoitteena saada valmiiksi \u00a0kauan ty\u00f6n alla olleita juttuja ja taas on sel\u00e4tetty yksi keskener\u00e4inen projekti. T\u00e4m\u00e4 \u00a0tuli aloitettua jo huhtikuussa kun fiilistelin tweedi\u00e4. Jo kolmisen vuotta sitten tehdyn tweedhameen kaveriksi tein 20-luvun tyylisen jakun. T\u00e4h\u00e4nk\u00e4\u00e4n projektiin en ostanut mit\u00e4\u00e4n uusia materiaaleja vaan kaikki vuorista l\u00e4htien l\u00f6ytyiv\u00e4t varastoista ennest\u00e4\u00e4n. Koska samasta kankaasta tehtyyn hameeseen tuli koristeeksi punertavat koristenapit, halusin jakkuunkin jotakin kontrastia. Siisp\u00e4 terrakotan punainen vuori ja v\u00e4riin m\u00e4ts\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t napit olivat t\u00e4h\u00e4n t\u00e4ydelliset. Ja jonkun kummallisen p\u00e4\u00e4h\u00e4npinttym\u00e4n vuoksi halusin viel\u00e4 karvareunaiset hihat. Pienenpient\u00e4 tekoturkispalaa joka juuri ja juuri riitti hihansuihin on hillottu varastossa yli 10 vuotta.<\/p>\n

This Autumn my goal has been stash busting and finishing UFO’s (you know, those UnFinished Objects). And I’m proud to announce that yet another unfinished project has been finished. This one I started last April when I did the little tweed post. Little 20’s style tweed jacket to match with my three year old tweed skirt is now ready for action. I didn’t buy any new materials for this, everything came from my stash. Because I decorated my skirt with red buttons, I wanted also contrasting colours for the jacket. So the terracotta lining was like made for this, and I also happened to have buttons in matching colour. I seem to have some weird obsession on fur-decorated sleeves, so I wanted to add those. I have been storing that tiny piece of faux fur about 10 years. There was just enough for the sleeve edges.<\/p>\n
