Urbaani l\u00f6yt\u00f6retkeily (engl. Urban Exploration)<\/strong><\/span> on kiehtonut minua jo pidemm\u00e4n aikaa. Geok\u00e4tk\u00f6illess\u00e4 autioituneisiin paikkoihin osuu v\u00e4kisinkin ja noh, minulla nyt on aina ollut tietty viehtymys ruosteeseen, tiilikasoihin ja rempallaan oleviin paikkoihin. Urbaani l\u00f6yt\u00f6retkeily on er\u00e4\u00e4nlaista Indiana Jonesin jalanj\u00e4ljiss\u00e4 suoritettua seikkailua unohdetuissa paikoissa, mutta modernissa ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ss\u00e4. Monesti harrastajat my\u00f6s valokuvaavat paikkoja samalla. Olennaista harrastuksessa on ett\u00e4 paikat j\u00e4tet\u00e4\u00e4n siihen kuntoon kuin ne olivat sinne ment\u00e4ess\u00e4. Mit\u00e4\u00e4n ei siis p\u00f6llit\u00e4 eik\u00e4 paikkoja rikota. Fiilis tosin on t\u00e4ysin erilainen riippuen siit\u00e4 katsooko vain kuvia n\u00e4ytt\u00f6ruudulta vai onko siell\u00e4 paikanp\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 ihan itse. T\u00e4ytyy sanoa ett\u00e4 hyl\u00e4tyn rakennuksen aavemaisuus antaa kyll\u00e4 aikamoiset v\u00e4ristykset, vaikka ovathan ne joistakin paikoista otetut kuvatkin aika karmivia. Etenkin hyl\u00e4tyt sairaalat ovat ehk\u00e4 mulle niit\u00e4 kaikkein karmivimpia paikkoja.<\/p>\n

I made some updating to the blog by replacing the banner picture. Perhaps one day I have the energy to update the blog design a bit more. \u00a0But today I wanted to tell you about a bit different pictures. Halloween is getting closer so this theme will suit nicely the mood.<\/p>\n

Urban exploration has been fascinating me for quite some time now. While geocaching we are bound to end up in abandoned places, and well, I have always been interested in rust, piles of bricks and rotting places. \u00a0Urban exploration is following the foot steps of Indiana Jones, adventuring the forgotten places but only in modern environment. Many urban explorers also take photos of places where they visit. One essential thing is that explorers always leave the places untouched. So they never steal or break anything. There is also the element of danger when many of these abandoned places have started to turn to dust, so risk of being injured is always there. Explorers also sometimes break rules and orders by entering places, so the lure of doing something forbidden must be one thing that gives people the adrenaline rush.<\/p>\n

Since I’m a wuss and obediant silly, I’m a bit scared to enter abandoned buildings, but I love to watch photos other people have taken in them. Allthough the feeling is completely different depending on if you just watch the photos or if you are there yourself. I have to admit that the spookyness of abandoned building does give you quite a shiver, even though I have seen also rather creepy photos of places. Especially abandoned hospitals are the creepiest places to me.<\/p>\n
