Syyst\u00e4 ett\u00e4 Evil Dressmaker on ollut parisen viikkoa kes\u00e4lomalla<\/strong><\/span> on blogin askartelu-paskartelu-, ompelu- ja asuosio ollut my\u00f6s lomalla. Sen sijaan aion kyll\u00e4stymiseen asti ilahduttaa teit\u00e4 erilaisilla kes\u00e4loma-aiheisilla postauksilla kun se kerrankin on mahdollista. Valokuvissa saattaa satunnaisesti vilahdella my\u00f6s p\u00e4iv\u00e4n asu (joka l\u00e4hes poikkeuksetta on ollut parisen viikkoa sama mekko ja samat keng\u00e4t hieman eri asusteilla)<\/strong><\/span>. Mutta nou h\u00e4t\u00e4, asukuvat palaavat tarjontaamme j\u00e4lleen lomiltapaluun j\u00e4lkeen. Loma-postaukset eiv\u00e4t tule olemaan mitenk\u00e4\u00e4n loma-kronologisessa j\u00e4rjestyksess\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Ihan omaksi huvikseni ja muiden kiusaksi aloitan kaikkein tuoreimmasta tapauksesta eli Kostian markkinoista<\/a> joissa poikkesimme is\u00e4nn\u00e4n kanssa lomaltapaluumatkalla. Wanhan ajan markkinoilla<\/strong><\/span> on jo perinteet. Ne ovat osa Kostia-tapahtumaa johon kuuluu n\u00e4yttelyit\u00e4 ja\/tai luentoja ja perinnejumalanpalvelus P\u00e4lk\u00e4neen rauniokirkossa. Alunalkaen markkinat j\u00e4rjestettiin Mytt\u00e4\u00e4l\u00e4n kartanossa<\/a> mutta ne siirrettiin jo 2006 P\u00e4lk\u00e4neen kirkonkyl\u00e4\u00e4n, Onkkaalaan. \u00c4itini k\u00e4y perinteisesti markkinoilla myym\u00e4ss\u00e4 kotitekoista riev\u00e4\u00e4<\/strong><\/span> ja muita leivonnaisia. Tapoihin kuuluu ett\u00e4 kaikki myyj\u00e4t ja osa markkinavieraistakin on pukeutunut 1700-luvun tyylisiin asuihin. Tapahtuman juhlavuosi on 2013 <\/strong><\/span>jolloin Kostianvirran taistelusta<\/a> tulee kuluneeksi 300 vuotta. Is\u00e4nt\u00e4 ja min\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4timme my\u00f6s juhlistaa Kostianvirran taistelua ja sen kunniaksi is\u00e4nt\u00e4 k\u00e4vi ly\u00f6m\u00e4ss\u00e4 pari Kostia-kolikkoa<\/strong><\/span> markkinakojulla. Toinen kolikko j\u00e4\u00e4 omaan haltuumme ja toinen l\u00e4htee kiert\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n maailman geok\u00e4tk\u00f6j\u00e4 matkalaisena<\/a> ja toivonmukaan palaa kotiin P\u00e4lk\u00e4neelle juhlavuonna 2013.<\/p>\n

\nEvil Dressmaker has been on holiday<\/strong><\/span> past couple weeks so also the crafty-, sewing and outfit section of the blog has been on holiday. Instead of those I am going to bore you with different kind of holiday-posts. You might occasionally see some outfits in the photos aswell (but it propably will be the same dress and shoes over and over again)<\/strong><\/span>. But don’t you worry, outfit photos etc will return when my holiday ends. Holiday posts won’t be in holiday-chronological order.<\/p>\n

Just for my own amusement and to annoy others, I will start with the newest event, Kostia market<\/a>. Me and boyfriend stopped by on our way back from our holiday trip.\u00a0 Old time market<\/strong><\/span> already have some tradition. It is part of Kostia event that also includes exhibitions and traditional sunday service in the ruin church of P\u00e4lk\u00e4ne. Originally they organized this history-related even in Mytt\u00e4\u00e4l\u00e4 Manor<\/a>, but it was moved to the center of P\u00e4lk\u00e4ne village, Onkkaala already in 2006. My mum always sells home made bread<\/strong><\/span> and other bakery products there. It is a custom that all market sales people wear old time costumes, styled for the theme of 1700.\u00a0 In 2013<\/strong><\/span> there will be special celebration because it will be the 300th Anniversary<\/strong><\/span> of the Battle of Kostia<\/a>. Me and boyfriend also decided to celebrate Battle of Kostia. Boyfriend went to mint couple especially desined Kostia-coins<\/strong><\/span> at the market stand. We will keep one coin and the other coin will be transformed into a Travel Bug <\/a>that will travel geocaches of the world and hopefully will return home to P\u00e4lk\u00e4ne in 2013.<\/p>\n
