Vaikka pid\u00e4nkin kaikesta kuluneesta niin tuo yksil\u00f6 ei kyll\u00e4 ollut mill\u00e4\u00e4n muotoa edukseen. Keksin edullisen konstin v\u00e4h\u00e4n uudistaa arkkua joten eikun tuumasta toimeen.<\/p>\n

\nI’ve been fiddling in our balcony some time now and I’m sure it will look very nice quite in time when the summer is at it’s best aswell. We have this weather-beaten trunk to store all sorts of balcony stuff. Even though I love worn-out surfaces and shabby chic look this trunk didn’t do justice to itself, not in any way. So I figured out cheap way to spice up the look.<\/p>\n

First I spread coat of tinted antique wax on the lid. It’s easy to spread
\nfor <\/strong><\/span><\/em>example with a kitchen sponge. Dark areas are done. Allow
\nto dry and then <\/strong><\/span><\/em>polish with clean cloth or brush.<\/strong><\/span> I used for this<\/strong><\/span><\/em>
\nLiberon antique wax in shade Dark Oak, which I happened to find<\/strong><\/span><\/em>
\nfrom my storage.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Sitten sommittelin itse keksityn tekstin arkun kylkeen ja j\u00e4ljensin <\/strong><\/span>
\nsen kalkeeripaperin avulla. Kansi erottuu tummempana koska on
\nk\u00e4sitelty jo aiemmin.
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Then I designed imaginary text logo and transferred it to the<\/strong><\/span><\/em>
\nfront of the trunk with carbon paper. Lid is clearly darker
\nbecause I did that already earlier.

I drew logo with black permanen marker. This part requires quite <\/strong><\/span><\/em>
\nsteady hand. In this photo it’s still unfinished. When it was dry, I brushed<\/strong><\/span><\/em>
\nit lightly with steel brush.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Finally I spread the wax all over the trunk. Now it must dry.<\/strong><\/span><\/em>
