Meill\u00e4 joulukoristelaatikot tuntuvat lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyv\u00e4n l\u00e4hes itsest\u00e4\u00e4n, sill\u00e4 hankin joka joulu muutamia uusia koristeita. Joko valmiina kaupasta tai itse tehden. Viimevuonna askartelin paperit\u00e4hti\u00e4 ja syd\u00e4nkoreja<\/a>. Tein viime vuonna my\u00f6s ohjeen pieniin pehmoluistimiin<\/a> jotka n\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t s\u00f6p\u00f6ilt\u00e4 kuusessa tai ikkunassa. Pari vuotta sitten tein meille englantilaiseen tyyliin joulusukat<\/a>. Toissajouluna askartelin kynttil\u00e4kruunun<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Koska joulukuu on k\u00e4sill\u00e4 aivan kohta, k\u00e4vimme is\u00e4nn\u00e4n kanssa jokavuotisella tunnelmanhakureisulla Marjam\u00e4en Pajutilalla. Tonttujen kolosta huolimatta joulutunnelma oli j\u00e4\u00e4nyt v\u00e4h\u00e4n likilaskuiseksi eik\u00e4 k\u00e4teen j\u00e4\u00e4nyt en\u00e4\u00e4 niin kouriintuntuvaa joulun tunnelmaa kuin aiempina vuosina. Is\u00e4nn\u00e4n mielest\u00e4 t\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna erottui selke\u00e4 turistimainen mutta hintava massatuotanto, kun aiemmin mielikuva on ollut rippusen enemm\u00e4n kotikutoinen ja kodikas. Muutama kaunis kuva tarttui kuitenkin kameraan.<\/p>\n

\nIf you have been reading my blog a bit longer, you might already know that I’m sort of a Christmas-person. I hate the fact that they start selling Christmas stuff in October, but in December, then Christmas should be loud and clear. I don’t care about the religious message, I fancy more of a Christmas spirit and music, handcraft things and time spent with family. And of course Christmas food, which I love.<\/p>\n

We have several boxes of Christmas decoration and they seem to multiply almost on their own. I like to get something new every year. Either straight from shop, or by making it myself. Last year I made some paper stars and heart baskets<\/a>. I also made tutorial for tiny skates<\/a> which look cute on the three or in your window. Couple years back I made english style Christmas stockings<\/a> for us. Two years back I made chandelier<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Because December is almost here, me and my hubby went to our annual trip to Marjam\u00e4ki Willow farm. They even had little den for elves and everything, but somehow the Christmas spirit wasn’t as strong as it has been on previous years. I was a bit disappointed. Hubby said that this time the feeling was more like expensive mass production for tourist than the homemade and cozy feeling what they’ve had before. However I still managed to get couple pretty photos.<\/p>\n
