Sisustusprojektit, ne tapahtuu meid\u00e4n taloudessa hitaasti ja harkiten. Hitauteen on monesti syyn\u00e4 ihan talonem\u00e4nn\u00e4n laiskuus ja saamattomuus, mutta ei nyt menn\u00e4 siihen sen tarkemmin. T\u00e4ll\u00e4kertaa valmistui nopea (jos nyt v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00e4 haluaa kutsua 1,5 kuukautta nopeaksi)<\/strong><\/span> pikkuprojekti ty\u00f6p\u00f6yt\u00e4ni yhteyteen. Koska n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 pahasti sille ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6p\u00f6yt\u00e4ni tahtoo t\u00e4ytty\u00e4 pienist\u00e4 lippusista ja lappusista p\u00e4\u00e4tin hommata jonkinlaisen ilmoitustaulun niiden j\u00e4rjest\u00e4miseen.<\/p>\n

Ty\u00f6huoneella py\u00f6riskeli pari ilmoitustaulua tyhj\u00e4n panttina joten p\u00e4\u00e4tin tuunata niist\u00e4 toisen t\u00e4h\u00e4n tarkoitukseen. Olohuoneessamme on seini\u00e4 lukuunottamatta p\u00e4\u00e4asiassa tummia v\u00e4rej\u00e4. Verhoissa tummanpunaista ja pellavanv\u00e4ri\u00e4, kalusteissa mustaa ja tummanruskeaa. Ilmoitustaulun p\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4ritys saisi olla siis jotakin tummanpunaisen, ruskean ja mustan v\u00e4limaastosta.<\/p>\n

Tuunattava ilmoitustaulu oli edellisilt\u00e4 v\u00e4reilt\u00e4\u00e4n (sekin joskus vuosia sitten tuunattu)<\/strong><\/span> sinivalkoinen. Ensimm\u00e4iseksi maalasin valkoiset kehykset. Ja kuten tied\u00e4tte, mielell\u00e4ni k\u00e4yt\u00e4n valmiina varastosta l\u00f6ytyv\u00e4\u00e4 tavaraa joten t\u00e4h\u00e4n hommaan k\u00e4ytin kaapeista l\u00f6ytyvi\u00e4 vanhoja askartelumaaleja. Sekoitin mustaa ja keltaista saadakseni aikaan jonkinlaista mustanruskeaa. Maali kuultaa paikoitellen hieman l\u00e4pi joka tekee hieman rustiikkisempaa ilmett\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Ensin ajattelin irrottaa sinivalkoraidallisen kankaan, mutta olin n\u00e4emm\u00e4 liimannut sen niin huolellisesti ett\u00e4 irrottaminen ei tullut kyseeseen. Uusi kangas tuli siis suoraan vanhan p\u00e4\u00e4lle. Kankaan alle laitoin kerroksen ohutta vaatetusvanua tuomaan tauluun hieman pulleutta. Viininpunainen brokadi pala l\u00f6ytyi varastosta (samaa kangasta olen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4nyt k\u00e4sity\u00f6pussukkaani joka yleens\u00e4 hengailee my\u00f6s jossain l\u00e4hettyvill\u00e4)<\/strong><\/span>. Brokadin kiinnitin kuumaliimalla reunoistaan, liimatessa pingotin kangasta hieman saadakseni sen mahdollisimman sile\u00e4ksi vanun yli. Kankaan kuvioita my\u00f6t\u00e4illen pingotin taulun yli ohutta ruskeaa koristenauhaa ristikk\u00e4in. Rumat leikatut reunat ja nauhojen p\u00e4\u00e4t piilotin leve\u00e4n kultapunoksen alle. Kuumaliima oli yst\u00e4v\u00e4ni my\u00f6s t\u00e4ss\u00e4 hommassa.<\/p>\n

Viimeinen vaihe oli riste\u00e4vien nauhojen kiinnitt\u00e4minen keskelt\u00e4. Halusin kullanv\u00e4risi\u00e4 nastoja, mutta sellaisia ei oikein valmiina l\u00f6ydy kaupoista. Yst\u00e4v\u00e4ni vinkkasikin ett\u00e4 muovinastoista l\u00f6ytyy alta kullanv\u00e4rinen metalli kun poistaa muovisen kuoren. Sattumalta kuitenkin l\u00f6ysin ty\u00f6kalupakistani kuperia kullanv\u00e4risi\u00e4 huonekalunauloja. Ajattelin ensin ett\u00e4 ne olisivat liian pitki\u00e4 ohueen ilmoitustauluun, mutta\u00a0 sopivatkin yll\u00e4tt\u00e4en hommaan t\u00e4ydellisesti. Ja TA-DAH! Hienosteleva ilmoitustaulu on valmiina k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n!<\/p>\n

IN ENGLISH<\/strong><\/span>
\nInterior decoration projects, those happen very slowly in our home. Most common reason for that is the lazyness of the lady of the house, but let’s not go into details. However this time I finished quick (if you especially want to call 1,5 months quick)<\/strong><\/span> little project for my work desk. Because it looks like my table quite often is covered with little notes I decided to organize them somehow. Message board would be perfect for the task.<\/p>\n

At my boutique I had couple message boards available for use. So I decided to revamp one of those. In our living room the colour scheme is mainly dark, except the walls. Curtains are natural linen and wine red, furniture black and dark brown. That’s was also supposed to be the message board colours.<\/p>\n

Previous colours of the board were white and blue (revamped by me about 15 years ago)<\/strong><\/span>. First I needed to paint the frame. I like to use stuff straight from my stash so I used some old hobby paints I had. I mixed black and yellow to get some sort of brownish black. White paint shows through here and there to make it look more rustic.<\/p>\n

First I was going to remove the striped fabric, but apparently I glued it on really\u00a0 well it didn’t come of. So I just glued the new fabric on top. I also added one layer of thin padding under the fabric to make it look more plump. Fabric was found in my stash (have used the same fabric for my hand craft bag, it’s usually hanging around somehere nearby)<\/strong><\/span>. I used hot glue for the fabric and stretched it slightly to make it smooth. Then I glued brown ribbons over the board, following the fabric pattern. After that I covered the fabric edge and ribbon ends with goldbraid. Hot glue was my friend in this task aswell.<\/p>\n

Final thing was to pin down the ribbons. I wanted to have gold pins, but they are hard to get. My friend gave me a tip that there is golden metal under most colourful plastic pins. However I was able to find some furniture nails in my tool box. First I thought they would be too long for the thin board, but they actually work like a charm. And TA-DAH! My dandy message board is ready for use!<\/p>\n
