Harvoin nyky\u00e4\u00e4n postailen blogiin deadserious postauksia koska haluan pit\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n sis\u00e4ll\u00f6n varsin kevyen\u00e4 ja viihdytt\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4. Nyt kuitenkin haluan sanoa pari valittua sanaa. Blogisf\u00e4\u00e4riss\u00e4 on py\u00f6rinyt Veeran haaste<\/a> meikitt\u00f6m\u00e4st\u00e4 naamasta. Alullepanevana voimana t\u00e4h\u00e4n haasteeseen toimi kommentti vaatteen istumattomuudesta Iinan blogissa. Ottamatta sen kummemmin kantaa siihen kommenttiin, olen jokseenkin h\u00e4mmentynyt itse haasteesta. Nyt kerron teille miksi.<\/p>\n

Olen kirjoittanut blogia jo yli nelj\u00e4 vuotta. Sin\u00e4 aikana olen postannut itsest\u00e4ni kaikenlaisia kuvia, p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00f6mi\u00e4 ja p\u00e4\u00e4llisi\u00e4. Meikitt\u00f6mi\u00e4 ja meikillisi\u00e4, n\u00e4ttej\u00e4 ja rumia. Kenellek\u00e4\u00e4n lukijalleni ei liene ep\u00e4selv\u00e4\u00e4 milt\u00e4 n\u00e4yt\u00e4n, meikitt\u00e4 tai meikill\u00e4. Arsenaalista l\u00f6ytyy kaksoisleuka, l\u00e4ski\u00e4 vy\u00f6t\u00e4r\u00f6ll\u00e4 ja v\u00e4h\u00e4n muuallakin, finnej\u00e4, punoittavia l\u00e4nttej\u00e4 naamassa ja roikkuvat silm\u00e4luomet. Ja nyt my\u00f6s uutuus: harmaantuvat hiukset! En kuitenkaan juuri koskaan k\u00e4sittele valokuvistani muuta kuin v\u00e4ris\u00e4vyj\u00e4, valotusta ja rajausta. Poikkeuksiakin toki on, mutta varsin harvassa ovat ne.<\/p>\n

Vaikka postaan silloin t\u00e4ll\u00f6in itsest\u00e4ni my\u00f6s meikitt\u00f6mi\u00e4, photoshoppaamattomia kuvia, en koe itse\u00e4ni mitenk\u00e4\u00e4n erityisen rohkeaksi, enk\u00e4 suoraan sanoen ymm\u00e4rr\u00e4 miksi joku inspiroituisi siit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 n\u00e4kee minun aamunaamani. En pid\u00e4 itse\u00e4ni sen vuoksi esikuvana muille bloggareille tai teinityt\u00f6ille (jotka tuskin blogiani edes lukevat)<\/strong><\/span>. Jos en itse halua katsella muiden bloggareiden silm\u00e4pusseja tai finnej\u00e4, miksi edes kuvittelisin ett\u00e4 joku minun lukijani haluaa erityisesti katsoa niit\u00e4 minun blogissani? Sit\u00e4paitsi pid\u00e4n siit\u00e4 milt\u00e4 n\u00e4yt\u00e4n meikattuna, omaan silm\u00e4\u00e4ni naama n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 paremmalta meikin kanssa kuin ilman. En koe sit\u00e4 v\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n\u00e4 ett\u00e4 haluan n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 saman meikatun naaman my\u00f6s blogini lukijoille. En pid\u00e4 v\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n\u00e4 sit\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4n jos haluan peitt\u00e4\u00e4 keskell\u00e4 naamaa kukkivan finnin.<\/p>\n

Jos kampanjan tarkoituksena on kritisoida muotiteollisuuden raadollista maailmaa jossa hoikatkaan mallit eiv\u00e4t en\u00e4\u00e4 ole lehtien sivuille riitt\u00e4v\u00e4n hoikkia ilman Photoshoppia tai jossa kosmetiikkamainoksista k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n ihohuokoset pois koska ne pilaavat ihon virheett\u00f6myyden niin valitettavasti pointti menee hieman ohitse.\u00a0 Kun ollaan kuitenkin siell\u00e4 ihmisten henkil\u00f6kohtaisissa blogeissa. Vaikka ne jollain tasolla sivuavatkin muotimaailmaa, niist\u00e4 on se oikea muotimaailma varsin kaukana. Ja iso kansainv\u00e4linen muotimaailma tuskin t\u00e4st\u00e4 blogipiirien pienest\u00e4 protestista juurikaan hetkahtaa. En my\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n pid\u00e4 v\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n\u00e4 sit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 tavallinen ihminen haluaa antaa itsest\u00e4\u00e4n mahdollisimman edustavan kuvan. Seh\u00e4n on aivan luonnollista haluta n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 hyv\u00e4lt\u00e4. Ja vaikka postaisi itsest\u00e4\u00e4n vain t\u00e4ydellisi\u00e4 kuvia niin aina l\u00f6ytyy se joku joka n\u00e4kee niiss\u00e4kin jotain rumaa.<\/p>\n

Photoshopin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 ei ole v\u00e4\u00e4rin. J\u00e4nn\u00e4 t\u00e4ss\u00e4 on ett\u00e4 monet\u00a0 jutut voidaan tehd\u00e4 my\u00f6s ihan ilman photoshoppia. Poseerausasentoja vaihtelemalla saadaan aikaan illuusio hoikemmasta vartalosta, leukaa nostamalla ja painamalla kieli kitalakeen saadaan h\u00e4ivytetty\u00e4 kaksoisleukaa. Tietty valaistus ja valon v\u00e4ri vaikuttaa siihen erottuvatko tummat silm\u00e4naluset, finnit ja juonteet selvemmin vai v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n. Tietyt v\u00e4rit vaatteissa luovat kasvoille enemm\u00e4n tai v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n varjoja ja vaikuttavat yleisilmeiseen. Kampauksella ja k\u00e4sien asennollakin voidaan vaikuttaa siihen n\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4tk\u00f6 esim kasvot py\u00f6re\u00e4mmilt\u00e4 vai kapeammilta. \u00c4lk\u00e4\u00e4 erehtyk\u00f6 luulemaan ett\u00e4 vain photarimestari pystyy luomaan illuusion. Ehei! On olemassa lukuisia valokuvaustekniikoita joilla vaikutetaan kuvan lopputulokseen ihan ilman kuvank\u00e4sittely\u00e4. Vaikka kuvataan kasvoja ilman meikki\u00e4 ja julkaistaan photoshoppaamaton versio niin ei se tarkoita sit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 olisi pakko julkaista se kaikkein rumin kuva itsest\u00e4.<\/p>\n

T\u00e4ss\u00e4 yhteydess\u00e4 en nyt julkaise meikit\u00f6nt\u00e4 photoshoppaamatonta kuvaa itsest\u00e4ni sill\u00e4 olen tehnyt sen niin monta kertaa. Jos nyt jotakuta kiinnostaa milt\u00e4 n\u00e4yt\u00e4n meikitt\u00e4 niin k\u00e4yk\u00f6\u00f6n katsomassa vaikka tuolla<\/a> tai tuolla<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nVery rarely I post any dead serious things in blog because I want to keep it quite lite and amusing. However now I have something to say. Amongst finnish fashion blogs there’s been this challenge to post a picture of your face without any make up, unphotoshopped. This challenge confuses me quite a bit. Now I tell you why.<\/p>\n

I have been blogging over four years now. During that time I have posted photos of myself with and without head. I have posted photos with and without make up, pretty and ugly photos. It should not be any surprise to any of my readers what I look like, with or without make up. I got double chin, I got fat, I got spots and red areas on my face, droopy eyelids. And now a new feature: hair going gray! But usually I don’t really do much photoshop on the photos. Biggest alterations I do are colourbalance, brightness and cropping. There are exceptions to this, but they are quite rare.<\/p>\n

Even though I occasionally post pictures of myself without make up, unphotoshopped, I don’t think I’m especially brave and quite honestly I don’t understand why someone would be inspired of seeing my morning face. I don’t think I’m an example to other bloggers nor teenage girls (in fact I don’t even thing there is many teenagers reading my blog)<\/strong><\/span>. If I don’t want to see other bloggers under-eye bags nor their acne, why would I even think anyone else wants to look at those in my blog? Besides, I like how I look when wearing make up, my face looks better to me when I wear make up than without. I don’t think it’s wrong that I want to show that same face to the blog readers. And I don’t think it’s wrong if I want to cover huge spot in the middle of my face.<\/p>\n

If the purpose of this little campagne is to criticize the rough world of fashion industry, where even skinny models aren’t skinny enough for magazine without photoshop and where pores are photoshopped away from cosmetic ads because they ruin perfectly smooth skin, the point is a bit off, I’m afraid. These are peoples private blogs. Even though they touch the fashion world somehow, the real fashion industry is far far away. And the huge international fashion industry probably gives a damn. It is not wrong to want to give the best impression there is. It is quite normal to want to look at your best. And even if you post only perfect images of yourself, there is always someone to complain.<\/p>\n

It’s not wrong to use Photoshop either. Interesting thing is that many things can be done even without Photoshop. By changing poses, you can create illusion of thinner body, by lifting your chin and pressing your tongue against your upper jaw you can make chin look slimmer. Certain lighting and colour temperature affects on how prominent dark under-eyes, spots or fine lines are. Certain colours on your clothing create more or less shadows on your face and affect on the overall look. With the hairdo or even the positioning of your hand you can affect if your face looks slim or more round. Don’t be fooled to think that only photoshop-masters are able to create illusion. Oh no! There are numerous techniques that you can use to affect on the final result, and never even touching the digital photo enhancement. When photographying face without make up and unphotoshopped, that doesn’t mean you have to publish the ugliest photo of yourself.<\/p>\n
