Palomiehet jatkoivat matkaa ja is\u00e4nt\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4tti ett\u00e4 k\u00e4ymmep\u00e4 samantien ostamassa v\u00e4h\u00e4n varaosia autoon. \u00c4kkin\u00e4inen luulisi ett\u00e4 tarina p\u00e4\u00e4ttyy t\u00e4h\u00e4n. Mutta ehei. Eilen is\u00e4nt\u00e4 aikoi vaihtaa parit sytytystulppien letkut, virranjakajan kannen ja py\u00f6rij\u00e4n. Ja vaihtoikin, ainakin ne osat jotka autoon sopivat. Myyj\u00e4 oli nimitt\u00e4in antanut meille ep\u00e4sopivat osat. Joten palasimme liikkeeseen josta meille kerrottiin ett\u00e4 mik\u00e4li n\u00e4m\u00e4 osat eiv\u00e4t sopineet ei heill\u00e4 sitten ole mit\u00e4\u00e4n muuta tarjota tilalle. Menimme toiseen liikkeeseen, ja kolmanteen. Saimme uudet v\u00e4h\u00e4n erilaiset osat. Ja guess what! N\u00e4m\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4n osat eiv\u00e4t sopineet. Joten t\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n taas sama uusiksi.<\/p>\n Sanonta v\u00e4itt\u00e4\u00e4 ett\u00e4 ei se k\u00e4y niinkuin elokuvissa, mutta meid\u00e4n el\u00e4m\u00e4 kyll\u00e4 on hyvin usein kuin elokuvaa. Sellaista tragi-koomista elokuvaa.<\/strong> Tai vaihtoehtoisesti farssia.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n PS. Saimme vaihteeksi oikean osan, mutta merkki-liikkeess\u00e4 hinta tuplaantui.<\/p>\n IN ENGLISH<\/strong><\/span> Well, day before yesterday was the worst. I barely make good 300 meters from home when the car stalled in the middle of the road. I put the emergency indicators on and called to my hubby to come over and push me to the nearest buss stop. But as soon as the phone call is over I see fire engine coming past (on their way to the firestation next to our home)<\/strong><\/span>, putting their blue flashy lights on as soon as they see me and turn around and stop behind me. Four rather well-built firemen get out of the car and want to know what seems to be the problem. I manage to sputter something supposedly funny about the car not liking the moist weather.<\/p>\n Firemen make a quick plan including one guiding the traffic with the fire engine and three others pushing my little Polo (it is not that heavy to push, even I can do it)<\/strong><\/span> to the nearest buss stop, about 100 meters away. And this is what we did. My hubby arrived just to see the firemen pushing our car. He even thought should he take a photo of that. But he didn’t and I might be a bit bitter about that he didn’t, atleast till next week (and that’s why you don’t get to see any firemen but some random photos instead)<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n At the buss stop we finally managed to start the car and keep it running until the engine is warm enough. Firemen went on their way and hubby decided we are going straight to the carpart shop to get some spare parts. Someone might think story ends here. But nooo. Yesterday boyfriend was going to replace the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor arm inside it. And he did, atleast those parts that actualy fit in the car. Salesperson in the shop gave us parts that don’t fit. So we returned to the shop where they told us that if these don’t fit then they don’t have anything for us. So we went to another shop. And to another. We got similar, but little bit different looking parts. And guess what! These don’t fit either. Today we are doing it all over again.<\/p>\n They say things don’t happen like in the movies, but our life is quite often like a movie. Tragic comedy kind of movie. Or optionally farce.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n PS. For a change we got the correct part, but in the brand-repair shop the price doubled.<\/p>\n
\nI might have mentioned before but we’ve had problems whole this year with the red evil, also known as VW Polo. In cold and moist weather it doesn’t start properly and running is very uneven, barely stays running before the engine warms up. On long trips engine starts to cough, especially when you reduce speed and then try to go back to the original speed. New battery helped a little and new spark plugs a little, but neither removed the whole problem.<\/p>\n
