Aina kaikki ei mene ihan putkeen, kuten olemme huomanneet. Viikonloppuna j\u00e4rjestettiin Museoiden Y\u00f6 keralla DesignTorin ja houkuttelin is\u00e4nn\u00e4n mukaani kierrokselle. Tarkoitus oli vilkaista tori, katsastaa William Lomaxin valokuvan\u00e4yttely<\/a> ja huristella museobussilla N\u00e4silinnan<\/a> kierrokselle. Olin etuk\u00e4teen tarkistanut netist\u00e4 ett\u00e4 bussit l\u00e4htev\u00e4t tasalta ja puolelta. Tutkimme torin tarjonnan ja katsoimme n\u00e4yttelyn ja totesimme ett\u00e4 kello on juuri sopivasti kymment\u00e4 vaille yhdeks\u00e4n joten bussin l\u00e4ht\u00f6\u00e4 ei joudu kauaa odottelemaan. K\u00e4velless\u00e4mme bussille kuitenkin kuulimme kuskin sanovan muille asiakkaille jotta bussi l\u00e4htee vartin yli. H\u00e4mmentyneen\u00e4 katsoimme is\u00e4nn\u00e4n kanssa toisiamme ja p\u00e4\u00e4timme ett\u00e4 emme todellakaan j\u00e4\u00e4 l\u00e4hes puoleksi tunniksi odottelemaan bussin l\u00e4ht\u00f6\u00e4 vaan menemme N\u00e4silinnalle omalla autolla.<\/p>\n

P\u00e4\u00e4simme Milavidaan noin 10 yli yhdeks\u00e4n. Meit\u00e4 vastassa oli opas joka kysyi ett\u00e4 haluammeko osallistua kello 23 alkavaan opastettuun kierrokseen. H\u00e4mmennyin aika tavalla koska olin netist\u00e4 varmistanut ett\u00e4 kierroksia on tasatunnein ja nyt vaikutti silt\u00e4 ett\u00e4 seuraava olisi vasta l\u00e4hes kahden tunnin kuluttua. Kotona sitten hoksasimme ett\u00e4 kymmenen opastus oli todenn\u00e4k\u00f6isesti buukattu jo t\u00e4yteen.<\/p>\n

No siin\u00e4 alakerran n\u00e4yttelyihin tutustuessa hoksasimme ett\u00e4 ohjelmalehtisen mukaan tapahtumassa voi geok\u00e4tk\u00f6ill\u00e4 ja noutaa sen j\u00e4lkeen palkinnon museolta. Ohjelmalehtisess\u00e4 ei kuitenkaan annettu mit\u00e4\u00e4n infoa siit\u00e4 mist\u00e4 geok\u00e4tk\u00f6st\u00e4 oli kysymys, ainoastaan linkki k\u00e4tk\u00f6ilysivustolle jolta ei l\u00f6ytynyt mit\u00e4\u00e4n infoa tapahtumasta saati k\u00e4tk\u00f6ist\u00e4 jotka voisivat olla tekemisiss\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n tapahtuman kanssa. Ohjelmalehtinen ei my\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n kertonut mink\u00e4 tapahtumaan osallistuvan museon l\u00e4hettyvilt\u00e4 mainittu k\u00e4tk\u00f6 saattaisi l\u00f6yty\u00e4 ja mist\u00e4 museosta t\u00e4m\u00e4 mainittu “palkinto” olisi saatavilla. Vajavaisilla tiedoilla k\u00e4tk\u00f6n etsiminen on jokseenkin mahdotonta joten ei mennyt sek\u00e4\u00e4n niinkuin Str\u00f6ms\u00f6ss\u00e4. Museoiden y\u00f6st\u00e4 siis j\u00e4i ehk\u00e4 hivenen karvas maku suuhun. T\u00e4m\u00e4np\u00e4iv\u00e4isest\u00e4 (16.5.12)<\/strong><\/span> Tamperelaisesta<\/a> voitte kuitenkin lukea mit\u00e4 j\u00e4nnitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 bongasin Design-torilla.<\/p>\n

\nEverything doesn’t always go as planned, as you all might have noticed. Last weekend there was Night of the Museums with Design Market. I lured my hubby to join me to the tour. Our intention was to check the market, William Lomax’s photo exhibition<\/a> and take the museum bus to Milavida<\/a> “castle” (also known as N\u00e4sicastle)<\/strong><\/span>. I checked beforehand from the internet that busses leave every hour and half past. We then checked the market (which was very busy!)<\/strong><\/span> and the exhibition and noticed that it was 10 to nine, so just perfect timing to get to the bus. While approaching the bus we heard the driver saying someone that bus leaves quarter past. Me and my hubby looked at each other with round eyes and decided not to wait almost half an hour but take our own car to Milavida instead.<\/p>\n

We got there around 10 past nine. Guide greeted us while entering the building and asked if we would like to join the eleven o’clock tour. I was, again, pretty confused because I had checked beforehand that there was tour every hour. I said no no, we are not going to wait almost two hours for that. Then the guide said btw, upstairs of the building is not open except for those who are on the guided tour. I raised my eyebrows because the info online didn’t say anything about upstairs being closed. For your information, this gorgeous baroque revival style castle or palace if you prefer, previously a museum, has been closed since 1998 but couple exceptions. It is owned by city of Tampere and it has been kept as a storage, now emptied and fading badly without proper care. The downstairs was checked pretty fast without quided tour. Well, after hearing that I was already rather pissed off so we decided just to check the downstairs and go home. Later at home we realized that the ten o’clock tour probably was fully booked.<\/p>\n

Well, then we noticed that on the brochure there was info about geocaching on the event and then pick up a reward from the museum. We didn’t realize this before leaving home so we didn’t have our navigator with us but hubby tried with his phone. However the booklet didn’t refer to any specific geocache, only a link to caching webpage. There wasn’t any additional info on that page. Nothing about what caches are the ones included in this event and what museum to pick up the reward from. Without any details it was pretty much impossible to find a cache in question. So this Night of the Museums left a bit bitter after taste. However the Design Market was fun and I ended up writing about in my this weeks article in local newspaper<\/a>.<\/p>\n
