Many years ago I got to taste caramel popcorn. I fell in love. For some wierd reason those disappeared from Finland for almost two decades before I got to taste them again. However, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.procella.org\/blogi\/\">Eirene&#8217;s blog<\/a> I finally figured that caramel popcorn can be made at home. So I googled a bit and result is this altered recipe that I give to you. Test audience hast tasted and approved.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>TOFFEE POPCORN<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\nabout<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> 3 litres of popped popcorn <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(only slightly salted)<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial;\">about 100 &#8211; 130 g butter or margarine<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial;\">1\/5 &#8211; 1 dl maple syrup<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial;\">250 g brown sugar<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial;\">1\/2 tsp salt<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial;\">1\/2 tsp baking powder<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial;\">1\/2 tsp vanillla sugar <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(or vanilla extract)<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><br \/>\nPop the popcorn <span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">(either in micro or traditional way, I made traditionally)<\/span>, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">remover unpopped kernels and pour popcorn into a large mixing bowl. Melt butter\/margarine either in pan on the stove or in bowl in micro. I made this completely in micro but you can use pan and stove aswell. Add brown sugar, maple syrup and salt to melted butter. Heat up in micro wave about 3-4 minutes with full power. Keep your eye on the mix because sugar burns easily. It is also good idea to stir mix couple times during heating, especially if you heat it on the stove. Just don&#8217;t let the sugar burn. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Then add baking powder and vanilla sugar and mix until it&#8217;s light and fluffy. Then pour it evenly on top of popcorn. Turn popcorn while pouring to make sure it spreads evenly on all. Finally pour popcorns on oven pan and roast them in the oven about one hour in 110-120 degrees of Celcius. Remember to turn them around so all will be roasted evenly.
