Do you<\/span> know what is the nastiest animal in the whole universe (if you don’t count Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traa<\/span><\/span><\/span>l)<\/span>? Answer is deer fly<\/a>. I hate deer flies. I try to keep away from forrests in autumn, but that doesn’t always work.

Me and boyfriend<\/a><\/span><\/span> decided to go hunting for one geocache and resque one geo-coin from there. That coin is special because it holds last part of secret co-ordinates we are looking for. Well what do you know, the cache is located in a forrest. At first it went ok and we were able to proceed in the forrest pretty good. At some point deer flies got the idea of us and started to attack us when we were aproaching the cache. We got a bit sweaty while rummaging around bushes. For those blissfull people who haven’t met any deer flies, deer flies find their targets with their heatsensors. So, the more you heat up and sweat, the more they attack you. Return to the car was just pure pain because those little bastards attacked us with the whole of their army. We must have been quite amusing sight, trying to wipe out as many deer flies off of each other as possible. During the drive back home I threw out of the window about a dozen and back at home I rinsed <\/span>a couple <\/span>more down the drain. I had to put all our clothes in plastic bag and go straight to the shower, comb my hair with fine comb three times. Only thing that is a relief is that deer fly-season only lasts from autust till the end of september. So when you keep away from the forrests you are ok. I was just annoyed by the fact that forrest was full of lovely big red lingonberries just waiting for someone to pick them. However, I’m not going to that deer fly-paradise before october.<\/p>\n
