Kidutan teit\u00e4 kuitenkin viel\u00e4 t\u00e4ll\u00e4 ensimm\u00e4isell\u00e4 ja ainoalla omalla viisu-postauksellani. Ihan vaan piruuttani. Vaikka en ole mik\u00e4\u00e4n tosi-euroviisufani katson viisut joka kerta. Is\u00e4nt\u00e4 katsoo mukana vaikka ei pid\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4n euroviisuista. Suomen voitto joka “sattui sopivasti” samaan aikaan kun Suomi aloitti EU:n puheenjohtaja-maana. T\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna h\u00e4n veikkaa voittajaksi Islantia, joka on pahoissa taloudellisissa vaikeuksissa. Itse veikkaan Norjaa jonka menev\u00e4, hieman folkloristinen kappale vei syd\u00e4meni v\u00e4litt\u00f6m\u00e4sti. T\u00e4m\u00e4n vuotinen Suomen biisi<\/a> ei valitettavasti saa minussa aikaan muuta kuin kyll\u00e4stymist\u00e4. Waldo’s people ei ole saanut biisiin mit\u00e4\u00e4n uutta ja se muistuttaa liikaa vanhoja Waldon biisej\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Vuosien varrella joistakin Euroviisu-kappaleista on tullut jopa isoja hittej\u00e4 kuten ruotsalainen Abba – Waterloo<\/a>, Brotherhood of Man – Save your kisses for me<\/a> Englannista, Luxemburgin France Gall – Poupee de cire<\/a>, pupee de son<\/a>, irlantilainen Johnny Logan – Hold me now<\/a> ja tietysti Suomen ensimm\u00e4inen voittokappale Lordi – Hard Rock Halleluja<\/a> vuodelta 2006. Paljon on my\u00f6s j\u00e4\u00e4nyt unholaan kuuluisista esitt\u00e4jist\u00e4kin huolimatta. Kuka muistaa vaikkapa vuoden 1989 voittajaa Jugoslaviasta: Riva – Rock me<\/a>, Ruotsin voittoisaa kappaletta 1999: Charlotte Nilson – Take me to your heaven<\/a> , Englannin voittajaa 1997: Katrina and the Waves – Love shine a light<\/a> tai Sveitsin voittokappaletta vuodelta 1988: Celine Dion – Ne partez pas sans moi<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Lopuksi saatte<\/span> viel\u00e4 nauttia omista t\u00e4m\u00e4n vuoden suosikki-biiseist\u00e4ni. Ne kuulostaa muuten hitosti paljon paremmalta kotiteatteri surround-systeemist\u00e4 kuin t\u00e4st\u00e4 k\u00e4m\u00e4selt\u00e4 l\u00e4pp\u00e4rilt\u00e4…<\/p>\n

I know <\/span>you must be totally fed up with all the Eurovision<\/a> stuff already. But I’m still going to make my first and only post about it. Just for the hell of it. Even though I’m not a true eurovision-fan I watch it every time. Bf watches it because he has to. If he could choose he would turn the channel. I am fascinated by the magnificent costumes and pompousness. This year they didn’t spare expences when they practically made the stage of huge screens and lights. Also the shows in between are delightfull to watch. They were even a bit humorous when on Semifinal 2 they brought 6 bears (people in bear-suits) on stage dancing and seventh bear was blowing “snow” above the audience. Videopostcards that teach you russian language also made me giggle. Russians definetly have sense of humour: Gagarin = Gagarin.<\/p>\n

I think <\/span>that Eurovision song contest is purely entertaning but bf sees also political aspect. For this year’s winner he is suggesting Iceland that is in deep financial problems. Over the years winning countries have had something to do with political issues, like when Finland won, it just started as a president of EU. I am guessing Norway, catchy folkloristic tune stole my heart immediately. Unfortunately Finland’s song<\/a> only make me yawn. Waldo’s people didn’t find anything new and exciting for their song. I am familiar with their old work and this is very similar to them.

Every year<\/span> some of the songs make their way to my favourites and I listen them even years after the actual contest. I remember well Estonia’s song in 2004: Neiok\u00f6s\u00f6 – Tii<\/a>, Iceland from 2006: Silvia Night – Congratulations<\/a> and Latvia from same year Cosmos – I hear your heart<\/a> and many others. Over the years some of the songs have even made a big hit like swedish Abba – Waterloo<\/a>, Brotherhood of Man – Save your kisses for me<\/a> from England, France Gall – Poupee de cire, puopee de son<\/a> from Luxembourg, irish Johnny Logan – Hold me now<\/a> and of course Finlands first winning song Lordi – Hard Rock Hallelujah<\/a> from the year 2006. Lot of songs were forgotten aswell, despite famous performers. Who remembers winner of the 1989 from Yugoslavia: Riva – Rock me<\/a> , swedish winner 1999: Charlotte Nilsson – Take me to heaven<\/a>, United Kingdom’s winner in 1997: Katrina and the Waves – Love shine a light<\/a> or Swizz winner in 1988: Celine Dion – Ne partez pas sans moi<\/a>,<\/p>\n
