<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nI didn’t have time to prepare anything special for the blog this week, so I thought, let’s take some traditional outfit-of-the-day, shall we. And perhaps some life update to go. There hasn’t really been anything special going on. Earlier I told that I have gone back to school. It is going great. Even though the clear realization about middle-aged problems. My eyesight is not like it used to be, when I was in my twenties. When doing presice handcrafting, I now have to use lit magnifying glass and special glasses. Otherwise I’m not able to see. I also have to admit that eye drops have come to stay. Looking very close when handcrafting, sewing, embroidering and of course looking at my phone (but also my specific medication) are drying my eyes and I have to use moisturising eye drops daily. Eyes also get tired much easier and I have to take lot of breaks both at work and hobbies, so that my eyes can have rest. It is quite astonishing to realize that the body isn’t what it used to be and that I might have to give up some things, which used to be easy and ordinary for me. Only if I could just get rid of this constant tiredness and lack of initiative, so that I could live normal everyday life properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And as for the other news, well, life seems to be one big epic fail at the moment. Assembling the capsule wardrobe is at a standstill, renovations are at a standstill, and even the clothing repair department’s “one garment a week” project fell flat right from the start. Well, at least I managed to loosen the waistband of a skirt a couple of weeks ago, and this week I mended a pair of socks and some small holes in a nightgown. I also started cleaning up my work space, which is in a terrible mess and where I can’t find anything at the moment, nor can I really get anywhere in there. I packed the last items from my clothing collection into boxes. I plan to sell them at a discount somewhere. I tried to sell my entire stock to local vintage-style online stores, but unfortunately, the economic situation is so bad everywhere right now that I couldn’t sell such a large stock all at once. Oh well, maybe I’ll be able to sell them one by one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing I am delighted about right now is a new farm shop that has opened in the neighborhood, selling local produce such as potatoes, onions, eggs, meat, flour, bread, and other items. We bought some delicious fresh corn on the cob, really good bread and some raw wool for me to spin. I hope other locals will discover the store too, because I want to shop there again in the future. I should also start the winter feeding for the birds. Like I told earlier, all of the berries have been emptied from the bushes and I haven’t even seen any bullfinches in the lilac trees, so all seeds must have been gone by now. I have heard bullfinches nearby and tits have been looking for seeds too, so I suppose it’s finally time to wash the bird feeder and set the table for the birdies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This autumn is the first in years when I’m not joining in the adult ballet group. Our teacher is currently on maternity leave and the new teacher change the schedule. Unfortunately the new teacher changed the time, so I’m not able to participate anymore. But I found hula hoop from mum’s belongings, so I decided to join in hula hoops excercise on Teams. It starts today, wish me luck!<\/p>\n\n\n

I have turned into something we call “culture auntie”. It means middle aged woman who is into all sort of classic culture like literature, music events, theater and so on. They often wear colourfull quirky clothing. I seem to be one, minus the colourfull. And yes, those orange balls on my head are hand craftting pumpkins. Felt like wearing them today. It is halloween season after all.<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n
