Makkarin remppa venyyyyyy. Olisin halunnut jo p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 tapiseeraamaan, mutta eih\u00e4n t\u00e4st\u00e4 nyt taas n\u00e4yt\u00e4 tulevan mit\u00e4\u00e4n. Olin aikonut tapiseerata vanhojen kerrosten p\u00e4\u00e4lle, mutta viimeisimm\u00e4t huoneessa olevat tapetit olivatkin niin heppoisesti kiinni sein\u00e4ss\u00e4, ett\u00e4 jouduinkin niit\u00e4 irrottelemaan v\u00e4h\u00e4n enemm\u00e4n, kun l\u00e4htiv\u00e4t irtoamaan ihan kevyesti nyk\u00e4isem\u00e4ll\u00e4. Uuden tapettiliisterin vaikutuksesta olisivat saattaneet alkaa kuoriutua uusien tapettien kera irti. Seuraavaksi t\u00e4ytyy tehd\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4n pakkelointia ja hiomista pahimpiin paikkoihin ja siihen p\u00e4\u00e4lle viel\u00e4 makulatuuria tasoittamaan ja peitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n s\u00e4vyeroja. Oli hirmuisen kiva yll\u00e4tys my\u00f6s ett\u00e4 verhotangon kannakkeet, samoin kuin jakorasiat ja osa s\u00e4hk\u00f6johdoista oli tapiseerattu p\u00e4\u00e4lt\u00e4. Alla olevaan vaaleanpunaiseksi maalattuun huokolevyyn oli tehty ihan erikseen koloset jakorasioille. No, huoneen s\u00e4hk\u00f6t menev\u00e4t joka tapauksessa uusiksi, joten ei t\u00e4m\u00e4 nyt sin\u00e4ns\u00e4 haittaa, mutta \u00e4rsytt\u00e4\u00e4. Meid\u00e4n pit\u00e4\u00e4 nyt tukkia ne kolot ja se on lis\u00e4\u00e4 hommia. Ja joo, blogi on ollut l\u00e4hes koko tammikuun ihan hunningolla, kun en ole jaksanut ly\u00f6d\u00e4 rikkaa ristiin. Mutta eik\u00f6h\u00e4n t\u00e4m\u00e4 t\u00e4st\u00e4 taas l\u00e4hde k\u00e4yntiin, kun saan itseni ensin k\u00e4yntiin. Pieni blogi-lomakin on tehnyt ihan hyv\u00e4\u00e4. Huomenna muuten on helmikuun #suuntanaomavaraisuus bloggareiden p\u00e4iv\u00e4, joten k\u00e4yk\u00e4\u00e4 kurkkaamassa nekin postaukset Tsajut-blogista<\/a>. Itse pid\u00e4n siit\u00e4 viel\u00e4 lomaa t\u00e4m\u00e4n kuukauden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tajusin my\u00f6s, ett\u00e4 makulatuuripaperivarastoni tulee loppumaan ihan alkuunsa, joten pistin sit\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4 tilaukseen. Muita hommia listalla ovat my\u00f6s puretun sein\u00e4n j\u00e4tt\u00e4mien kolojen tukkiminen (is\u00e4nt\u00e4 sit\u00e4 jo aloitti) ja siistiminen, vaatekomeron oven rakentaminen, vinolappeen paneelin maalin valinta ja maalaaminen, ikkunan pesu (maalaaminen j\u00e4\u00e4nee kes\u00e4\u00e4n), vaatekomeron ja vaatekaappinurkkauksen lattian asennus. Kattoon haaveilen pient\u00e4 rosettia valaisimen ylle, mutta se on viel\u00e4 hankkimatta. Kattovalaisin tulee vaihtumaan, nykyinen on vain v\u00e4liaikainen. Huoneesta on tulossa tapetin ansiosta nyt v\u00e4h\u00e4n 30-luvun henkinen niin mietin ett\u00e4 pit\u00e4isik\u00f6 valaisimenkin olla 30-luvun tyylinen. \u00c4itini varastoista sellainen l\u00f6ytyisi, mutta sen oltua melko pitk\u00e4\u00e4n aitassa, pinnat ovat p\u00e4\u00e4sseet v\u00e4h\u00e4n ruosteeseen. Se pit\u00e4isi siis kunnostaa ja johdotkin uusia. Noita vanhempia jugend-tyylisi\u00e4 valaisimia meill\u00e4 kyll\u00e4 on useampia, mutta ne eiv\u00e4t ehk\u00e4 en\u00e4\u00e4 sovi huoneen tyyliin. Sitten pit\u00e4isi p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00e4\u00e4 ett\u00e4 millaiset kattolistat halutaan makkariin. Listat olivat nyt pienet ja vaatimattomat ja s\u00e4hk\u00f6johtojen kohdilta silputut. Niit\u00e4 k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n muualla ja t\u00e4h\u00e4n huoneeseen tulee uudet tai kierr\u00e4tetyt. Meill\u00e4 on muualta talosta poistettuja leve\u00e4mpi\u00e4 listoja, jotka saattaisivat maalattuna ehk\u00e4 sopia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit\u00e4s sitten viel\u00e4. Niin joo, lattialle ei nyt t\u00e4ss\u00e4 yhteydess\u00e4 tehd\u00e4 mit\u00e4\u00e4n. Muovimaton alla olevassa parkettia j\u00e4ljittelev\u00e4ss\u00e4 matossa on mahdollisesti asbestia, joten sen purku vaatii erikoisj\u00e4rjestelyj\u00e4. Se tapahtunee vasta joskus hamassa tulevaisuudessa, joten j\u00e4timme sen nyt t\u00e4ss\u00e4 kohtaa viel\u00e4 odottamaan. Mutta, muovimatossa on ikkunan edess\u00e4 on hiukan leikattu ja revitty kohta. Sit\u00e4 pit\u00e4isi v\u00e4h\u00e4n fiksata, mutta en tied\u00e4 viel\u00e4 miten se tapahtuu. T\u00e4t\u00e4 samaa vihert\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 muovimattoa on meill\u00e4 ylim\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4isen\u00e4 jonkin verran ja siit\u00e4 voisi saada paikkamateriaalia kun vain keksisi miten se olisi j\u00e4rkevint\u00e4 toteuttaa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kokosin t\u00e4h\u00e4n nyt paremmin n\u00e4it\u00e4 huoneeseen suunnittelemiani sisustuselementtej\u00e4: oviverho, matto, ryijy jne. Sitten kun t\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4t kalusteet on kannettu sis\u00e4\u00e4n, n\u00e4en tarkemmin onko tilaa esim pienelle tuolille, jalkalampulle, tauluille ja muille sisustusesineille. Muutaman viherkasvin haluan tuoda alakerrasta t\u00e4nne, sill\u00e4 t\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 yl\u00e4kerran huoneissa on parempi luonnonvalo kuin alhaalla. Luultavasti t\u00e4nne t\u00e4ytyy my\u00f6s varata tilaa kissojen hiekkalaatikolle. Oletettavasti ainakin joku kissoista tulee t\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4kin oleskelemaan, etenkin kes\u00e4ll\u00e4 kun voimme pit\u00e4\u00e4 ovia auki kuistille. 30-luvun kolmihaaraisesta lampusta en nyt l\u00f6yt\u00e4nyt kuvaa, vaikka tied\u00e4n ett\u00e4 minulla jossain semmoinen on. <\/p>\n\n\n

Bedroom renovation is extendeeeeed. I would have wanted already start wallpapering, but thing’s don’t seem to get along. I originally planned on wallpapering on top of the current layer, however, when I was tidying the sagging areas I realised that the papers were coming off really easily, just by tugging a bit. They might have fallen down when new wallpaper is applied due to the moisture in the wallpaper paste. So I had to rip off all that was easy to pull off. The next thing is to put filler on larger holes and dents and sand uneven areas. Previous person doing the wallpapering, didn’t bother sanding at all and it shows. After that I was going to use base wallpaper to even out differences on the colour and seams. It was awfully fun surprise that the curtain pole hangers and electrical joint boxes were wallpapered over. They even made little holes on the fiberboard for the joint boxes, Why oh why did they do that? Anyways, we need to redo the electrics in the room anyway, so it doesn’t really matter, but it’s annoying. We need to fill the holes and that’s extra work. And yeah, blog’s been neglected whole of January, because I couldn’t be bothered. But I think it will start up again slowly, when I manage to start myself up first. I have been enjoying this little holiday anyways. By the way, tomorrow is the day of #selfsufficiency bloggers February post, so check also the posts and links from Tsajut blog<\/a>. I am not participating this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also realised that my base wallpaper stock will run out shortly, so I ordered more. Other things on our to-do-list are filling and tidying the holes the knocked down wall left behind (hubby already started that), building the door for the closet, choosing the paint for the paneling and doing the painting, washing the window (painting is done later, perhaps in the Summer), installing the floor to the closet and small alcove. I am dreaming of getting a little rosette on the ceiling, but I haven’t bought it yet. We will replace the lamp, current is only temporary. The room is going to have a bit of a 30’s vibe, so I was thinking if the lamp should also be 30’s style. There would be one in mums storage, but it’s been in the cold storage for years, so it’s a bit rusty. Cables need replacing, and the whole lamp needs some work. We have several jugend style light fixtures, but they might not match the style of the room anymore. We also need to decided what kind of crown moldings we want. Crown moldings which were there, were very small and a bit shattered in places. We will probably use them somewhere else in the house, and get wider wones to this room. We do have wider moldings which we removed from other rooms. They might work here after painting them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What else. Oh yeah, we are not doing anything to the floor at this point. There is greenish plastic carpet and under that is faux parquet-flooring, which is likely to have asbestos on it. Taking fauc parquet out requires special arrangements. For that reason we are leaving it for now under the plastic carpeting and handling it some time in the future. But, there is damaged area on the plastic carpeting, which would be nice to fix. I just don’t know yet how to do it. We do have more of this green plastic carpeting, so some sort of mending might be possible. Just have to figure out what is the most sensible way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So here is some of the things I have planned for the bedroom; curtain for the door, wool rug, knotted-pile tapestry etc. When all the main furniture is in, I will be able to figure out if there is any room for small chair, floor lamp, paintings or other pictures and other little items. I am planning on bringing some plants from downstairs. There is much more natural light up on the second floor. We probably also have to reserve some space for cat’s litter box. Atleast some of the cats are probably going to hang around here, atleast during the summer time when we can leave the doors open. I was not able to find picture of the 30’s lamp, even though I know I got one. <\/p>\n\n\n

Now I see the chosen wallpaper first time in the bedroom, properly. Design is Bor\u00e5s tapeter, Sal\u00e4ngen, the lighter colourway. Even though I first was doubting this option, I see now that it’s pretty much perfect for this room. Colourfull, yet quite stylish and demure. <\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n
