Over the years their co-operation ended due to different views and in the end Cobden-Sanderson got rid of the whole typeset, assumably so that they would not get into Walkers hands. Typeface hobbyist Robert Green got interested on Doves typeface in 2000 and started to investigate it more. In 2014 he gathered a team to search for them and managed to find about 150 on the shores of Thames. It was developed by brothers Lumi\u00e9re. The dreamlike colourshades of these photos are created by potato starch, which is coloured in three different colours, then mixed and spread over glass plate in layers with varnish, charcoal dust and panchromatic emulsion. Lovely intarsia knitted mittens, n\u00e5lbinding mittens and even embroidered leather mittens, they got it all.
