Ollaan tultu taas siihen aikaan vuodesta kun ihmiset alkavat valittaa sateesta, kylm\u00e4st\u00e4 ja pime\u00e4st\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4 on varmaankin se kuuluisa ep\u00e4suosittu mielipide, mutta syksy todella on minulle ihanaa aikaa. Onhan se toki hirmu haikeaa ja surullistakin ett\u00e4 kes\u00e4 on taas ohi, kasvit kuolevat ja talvi tekee tuloaan. En kuitenkaan voi v\u00e4itt\u00e4\u00e4 inhoavani syksy\u00e4. Sadonkorjuukausi jatkuu pitk\u00e4lle syksyyn ja syysaamujen valo on aivan omanlaisensa. Oletko koskaan ollut sienimets\u00e4ll\u00e4 aurinkoisena, kirpakkana syysaamuna kun valo siivil\u00f6ityy puiden v\u00e4leist\u00e4 sammaleiseen mets\u00e4npohjaan ja paljastaa piilottelevat sieniherkut? Min\u00e4 olen. Olen odottanut koko kes\u00e4n ett\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4sen taas sienimets\u00e4\u00e4n ja marjam\u00e4tt\u00e4ille. Valitettavasti vain t\u00e4n\u00e4 syksyn\u00e4 aikaa mets\u00e4retkiin tuntuu olevan kovin v\u00e4h\u00e4n, vaikka sienimets\u00e4 alkaa melkein tuosta takapihalta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pid\u00e4n sateesta, mutta inhoan sit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 vaatteet ja keng\u00e4t kastuvat. Jalkojen kastuminen sateella on inhottavinta mit\u00e4 tied\u00e4n. Olen kuitenkin pikkuhiljaa oivaltanut ett\u00e4 m\u00e4r\u00e4ll\u00e4kin s\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 ulkona oleilusta voi nauttia kun on sopivat varusteet. Sade ja pime\u00e4 eiv\u00e4t siis minua oikeastaan haittaa. Sateen tuoksu on ihanan raikas, tosin syksyll\u00e4 siihen sekoittuu m\u00e4r\u00e4n mullan ja m\u00e4t\u00e4nevien kasvien hajua. Ropina peltikatossa kuitenkin rauhoittaa ja ukonilmalla on ihana katsella salamoita. Syksy tuo mukanaan my\u00f6s kauniit h\u00e4m\u00e4rtyv\u00e4t illat kun voi sytytt\u00e4\u00e4 lyhtyj\u00e4 ja kausivaloja. Y\u00f6t ovat taas pimeit\u00e4 ja t\u00e4hdet ja linnunrata ilmestyv\u00e4t n\u00e4kyviin. Kirpein\u00e4 syysiltoina revontulet sytytt\u00e4v\u00e4t koko taivaan palamaan. Lapsesta saakka olen tyk\u00e4nnyt katsella taivaan kannella kulkevia satelliitteja ja muita t\u00e4htitaivaan ilmi\u00f6it\u00e4. Etenkin kolmiomuodostelmassa lent\u00e4v\u00e4t NOSS-satelliitit olivat hauskoja bongata. Nykyisin NOSSit ovat alkaneet erkaantua kauemmas toisistaan joten niiden havaitseminen on hiukan vaikeampaa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sumuisina syysaamuina h\u00e4m\u00e4h\u00e4kinseitit tulevat upeasti esiin kun niihin ker\u00e4\u00e4ntyy kastetta, mutta kaikkein parasta syksyll\u00e4 on kun y\u00f6pakkaset saapuvat. Aamulla koko maailma on kimaltavassa huurteessa ja se jos mik\u00e4 saa endorfiinit virtaamaan. Joinakin vuosina kasvit huurtuvat jo ennen lakastumistaan, mutta my\u00f6s huurteiset kuihtuneet talven t\u00f6rr\u00f6tt\u00e4j\u00e4t ovat \u00e4lytt\u00f6m\u00e4n kauniita kimaltaessaan aamuauringossa. Ymm\u00e4rr\u00e4n ett\u00e4 kostea ja kylm\u00e4 syksy tuntuu kes\u00e4n l\u00e4mm\u00f6n j\u00e4ljilt\u00e4 ik\u00e4v\u00e4lt\u00e4, mutta ilman muita vuodenaikoja ei kes\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4n tuntuisi milt\u00e4\u00e4n. Itse en valitettavasti pysty nauttimaan kuumista keleist\u00e4 sill\u00e4 kroppa ei vaan kest\u00e4 jatkuvaa hellett\u00e4. Ulkona ei pysty puuhailemaan mit\u00e4\u00e4n kun puolessa tunnissa tulee kuumuudesta jo aivan siet\u00e4m\u00e4t\u00f6n ja huono olo. Siksi nautin enemm\u00e4n viile\u00e4mmist\u00e4 s\u00e4ist\u00e4. Ja hei, onhan lokakuu itseoikeutetusti paras kuukausi, koska syntt\u00e4rit! Onneksi meill\u00e4 kuitenkin on ainakin viel\u00e4 toistaiseksi nelj\u00e4 ihanaa vuodenaikaa, joten kaikille l\u00f6ytyy oma lemppari. <\/p>\n\n\n

Again we are at that time of the year when people start complaining about the rain, cold and dark. This is probably the famous unpopular opinion, but Autumns really is wonderful time for me. Of course it is awfully sad and melancholic too, when Summer ends, plants die and winter is coming. But I still can’t say that I hate Autumn. Harvest season continues all the way almost to the winter and the morning light in the Autumn is something else. Have you ever went to the forestin the Autumn, on the early morning hours, when sunlight comes through the trees, revealing the mushroom treats on the soft moss bed? I have. I have waited for the whole summer the time when mushrooms start appearing. Unfortunately this year I haven’t had much time for foraging, even though the forest is pretty much at our doorstep. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like rain, but I hate getting my clothes and shoes wet. Getting wet feet in the rain is one of the most unpleasant things I know. But is there anything more lovely than sit inside, in the warmth by the fire and sip fomr the coffee, while watching when it rains horizontally and wind howls in the trees? However I have slowly started to realise that with suitable gear, it’s actually quite pleasant to be outside in rain. So rain and darkness don’t bother me that much. The smell of rain is lovely and fresh, although in the Autumn the smell of wet dirt and rotting plants changes it a bit. But listening to the rain is soothing and I love to watch lightning during thunder storm. Autumn brings back dark evenings when you can light up the lanterns, and turn on fairy lights and garden lights. Nights are dark and you can see stars and milky way again. On crispy Autumn evenings the aurora borealis light the sky on fire. Ever since the childhood I have loved to look at the sky and see the travelling satellites and other sky phenomena. Especially the NOSS satellites which fly in triangular formation have been fun to spot. These days NOSS satellites are separating from each other, so it’s a bit more tricky to spot them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On foggy mornings cobwebs come visible, when they gather mist, but the best thing in the Autumn is actually the time when night frost finally arrives. In the morning whole world is frosty and shimmery. It really makes my endorphins flow. On some years plants get frosty before they have gone brown, but also frosty dry plants are really pretty when they glisten in the early morning sun. I do understand that after the warmth of the Summer, cold and damp Autumn must feel unpleasant, nasty even, but without that, Summer would not feel anything special. Unfortunately I can’t enjoy hot weather much, because my body just can’t handle the heat. I can’t do much outside because I get overheated and nauseous in about 30 minutes. For that reason I enjoy cooler weather more. and hey, October is the best month for obvious reason, the birthday. But thankfully we still got four wonderful seasons, so everyone can find their favourite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
