En ole tullut postanneeksi asuja blogiin aikoihin. Syyn\u00e4 t\u00e4h\u00e4n on ollut yksinkertaisesti se ett\u00e4, en ole hankkinut tai tehnyt mit\u00e4\u00e4n uutta pitk\u00e4\u00e4n aikaan ja l\u00e4hestulkoon kaikki nykyisin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4ni asut on n\u00e4hty blogissa kerran, kaksi tai useammin. Mutta sitten ajattelin ett\u00e4 no onko tuolla sitten nyt niin v\u00e4li\u00e4 vaikka sama asu tulisi t\u00e4nne useamminkin. Siin\u00e4 ainakin tulee n\u00e4kyv\u00e4ksi se fakta ett\u00e4 vaatteeni eiv\u00e4t ole kertak\u00e4ytt\u00f6isi\u00e4, vaan ne ovat kest\u00e4vi\u00e4 ja niiden on tarkoituskin kest\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4 pitk\u00e4\u00e4n. Nykyisin pyrin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n vaatteet loppuun. K\u00e4yt\u00e4n niit\u00e4 vuosia, tai vuosikymmeni\u00e4. Ajatus on siis, ett\u00e4 niit\u00e4 ei tarvitse koskaan rontata kirpputorille, vaan kaikki vaatteeni olisivat niin mieluisia ett\u00e4 ne tulee k\u00e4ytetty\u00e4 loppuun. Sen j\u00e4lkeen kun ne ovat liian kuluneita kelvatakseen vaatteiksi, voin hy\u00f6tyk\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 ne muuhun tai pist\u00e4\u00e4 eteenp\u00e4in tekstiilinkierr\u00e4tykseen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valitettavasti en kuitenkaan mahdu en\u00e4\u00e4 kaikkiin lempi-vintagevaatteisiini ja se harmittaa viet\u00e4v\u00e4sti. Keski-ik\u00e4 ja vaihdevuodet tekev\u00e4t teht\u00e4v\u00e4ns\u00e4 ja vartalomalli on tainnut muuttua pysyv\u00e4sti t\u00e4h\u00e4n nykyiseen kuosiinsa. Siksi on joitakin ihanuuksia, joita ei en\u00e4\u00e4 luultavasti tulla t\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 blogissakaan n\u00e4kem\u00e4\u00e4n. T\u00e4ytyy t\u00e4ss\u00e4 joku kerta, kun ehdin, tutkia vintage-ihanuudet l\u00e4pi ja katsoa onko niille mit\u00e4\u00e4n teht\u00e4viss\u00e4 vai onko parempi laittaa niit\u00e4 kiertoon. K\u00e4ytt\u00f6ik\u00e4\u00e4 niiss\u00e4 viel\u00e4 on paljon j\u00e4ljell\u00e4 niin ehk\u00e4 on parempi ett\u00e4 en ainakaan niit\u00e4 kaikkia hilloa komerossa p\u00f6lyttym\u00e4ss\u00e4. Varastoista l\u00f6ytyy my\u00f6s muutama vintage-ihanuus jotka ovat odottaneet vuosia korjaamista, jotta saisin ne k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Sielt\u00e4 l\u00f6ytyy mm. yksi 30-40-luvun v\u00e4likausitakki joka odottaa paikkausta, sek\u00e4 saman aikakauden mekko, joka on alunperin ollut minulle liian suuri ja oudon muotoinen. Nekin t\u00e4ytyisi k\u00e4yd\u00e4 l\u00e4pi ja katsoa saanko niist\u00e4 viel\u00e4 itselleni k\u00e4ytt\u00f6kelpoisia, vai onko peli niiden osalta jo menetetty. Saattaapi siis olla ett\u00e4 ehk\u00e4 t\u00e4ss\u00e4 kes\u00e4n aikana n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n blogissa pitk\u00e4st\u00e4 aikaa taas v\u00e4h\u00e4n vintage-juttuja! <\/p>\n\n\n

I haven’t posted any outfits in the blog for long time. Reason for this is simply the fact that I haven’t really bought or made anything new for long time. Most of my outfits or clothes have been seen in the blog before, at least once, or more. But then I was wondering, does it really matter if they have been seen before. Atleast that will proof the fact that my outfts are one disposable, single use items. They are meant to last and I will use them as long as they will last. Preferably years, if not decades. Idea is that I am not going to re-sell any of my garments. They all are so much my favourites, that I want to use them, untill they are not usable anymore. And after they are not usable as clothes anymore, I will re-use them as material for something else. Or in the end, recycle them in fabric recycle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately I many of my favourite vintage clothes don’t fit me anymore. It is quite upsetting to me. Mid-life and menopause are doing their thing and looks like my bodytype might have changed perminantly to the current state. That is the reason why some of my vintage treasures will probably never be seen in this blog again. I have to go through them some day, when I have time, and see if there is anything to be done. Or is it just better to put them forward to some other vintage lover. They all should have many years of use left in them still, so maybe it’s best to pass them forward instead of storing them in the closet, just gathering dust. I also have stored some vintage treasures which have been waiting years for repairs, so that I can start using them. There is atleast 30’s-40’s lightweight coat, which has holes on it and is desperately waiting mending and also a dress from same era, which was originally a bit large for me and odd shape. I have to go them through too, and see if they are already lost cause, or can I fix them for my own use. So perhaps there is a chance you get some vintage stuff in the blog during this summer!<\/p>\n\n\n

These days I’m so lazy I can’t be bothered to do any makeup in the mornings. Allthough, there is not much use of it anyways. Any eye makeup seems to cause my eyes water so much these days, that it will wipe most eye makeup away.
