First two pairs were quite modest, almost identical, but the third pair is totally different animal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The back of the gloves is decorated with golden patterns. This type of decorated leathers were popular in the 90’s. Similar patterns were printed in gold or similar, matching colours than the leather, on bags, jackets and even shoes. I think these gloves might be from 1990’s. That theory is supported by the 90’s style logo of the manufacturer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There has been decorated gloves in the history of fashion pretty much “forever”. Of course there has been also plain, simple styles, but people have always loved to decorate these small accessories. Gloves were used, not only outside and in cold weather, but also inside and in warmer climate and especially in celebrations. Ladies wore long, over the elbow, opera gloves with short sleeved evening gowns. Legths of the gloves are determined by amount of buttons, even though they don’t always have any buttons. Before the elastic materials, the only way to make fitting gloves, was to put buttons on them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Especially the idle upper class could buy gloves for all sort of different purposes like for visiting gowns, sports or even for 1920’s and 30’s popular hobby, motorcar driving. My own granny had driving gloves even back in the 90’s, which she used in the summer while driving. I really like different kind of gloves and I have collected some vintage gloves. Gloves have very good fit.
