You can use them to solve problems and to create all sorts of texts for severeal different uses. AI’s are almost scary, that good they are, but not that good you could trust them. The reason why I am talking about them now is relating to the season and mushroom hunting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It appears to be so that some time ago it was published that for example Amazon was selling mushroom and wild herb books, written by AI. Professionals have checked some of these books and they have found out that they contain quite dangerous mistakes. AI doesn’t always know how to separate poisonous mushrooms from delicious edible mushrooms. These books refer to reliable sounding scientists and are credited to be written by people. However all names and titles are imaginary. For example one of these AI-authors have published 16 books, relating to health and nutrition, just this year. But nothing before the year 2023. I don’t think that is possible to any human author. Thankfully Amazon has removed atleast some of those books from their page. New York mycological society is warning people not to use these books and recommends people to only use books from wellknown, wellestablished authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is also lots of muchrooming and wild herb web pages, so be very carefull when browsing those. Always check the information from several different sources, preferably from source you know is reliable. Unfortunately there has also been pages which look like written by AI, and they have also been checked and include several deadly mistakes. In one of them (in Finnish) funeral bell (galerina marginata) was mixed up with hedgehog murshoom. They look totally different, however mixing the name alone is quite dangerous, considering one of them is deadly poisonous and one is delicious edible mushroom. You understand why I don’t link to that page here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am very passionate about mushrooming and I can’t too much hyphen the fact that you should only use for food mushrooms which have 100% surely been identified as edible. Use all or your senses in the forest and check all little detailes of the mushroom to identify it. Buy mushrooming book, made by wellknow and well established author, but use the latest book or latest edition, because knowledge of mushrooms grows all the time with new studies. In Finland we have mushroom exhibitions every Autumn. There you can see freshly picked mushrooms live. If you have similar thing locally, please visit. Seeing mushrooms live, will help you enormously later when you are trying to identify them in the forest. Also if you have local mushroom society or association, join in. They will help you to learn.
