Vaatetutoriaaleja ja asujuttuja on toivottu kalenteriin. Minulla on ollut melko v\u00e4h\u00e4n aikaa ompeluun viimeaikoina, joten ei t\u00e4m\u00e4 mik\u00e4\u00e4n kunnon tutoriaali ole, mutta sinne p\u00e4in. Tarkoituksena on muuttaa laatikkomainen miesten kauluspaita naisellisempaan muotoon. Ratkottuani kaarrokkeen irti, kavensin sit\u00e4 olkap\u00e4ilt\u00e4 ja rypytin paidan etu- ja takakappaleet sopimaan uuteen kapeampaan kaarrokkeeseen. Vaihtoehtoisesti etupuolelle olisi voinut tehd\u00e4 my\u00f6s ommeltuja hiuslaskoksia. Hihat olivat valmiiksi melko kapeat joten niit\u00e4 ei tarvinnut kaventaa. Rypytin ne kevyesti olalle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pois ratkotun kauluksen tilalle ompelin uuden, hiukan naisellisemman pystykauluksen valkoisesta kankaasta. T\u00e4m\u00e4 kaulus on tarkoituksella melko korkea ja kaulanmy\u00f6t\u00e4inen, mutta my\u00f6s muunlaiset versiot ovat ihan yht\u00e4 hyvi\u00e4. Saatan my\u00f6hemmin ommella my\u00f6s valkoiset rannekkeet. Testaan nyt ensin miten t\u00e4m\u00e4 toimii n\u00e4in. <\/p>\n\n\n

Clothing tutorials and outfit posts were requested to the calendar. I haven’t really have much time to do any sewing lately, so this is not really a proper tutorial, but sort of. My wardrobe has been lacking of long sleeved blouses. I have been planning this very long time, I must have bought the material about 3-4 years ago. So Christmas calendar was a good reason to finish it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have made the decision try and use more recycled and repurposed material in my sewing, so for this blouse I searched for secondhand men’s shirt Thrift shops are full of them. If collar is dirty and cufflinks wornout, it doesn’t matter, you can always take them off. This time I only took the collar off, but I also detached the sleeves completely and opened the back and front yoke seam. I also took off the breast pocket. Unfortunately I didn’t take photo before alterations, but I assume you can imagine ordinary men’s shirt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Idea is to turn the boxy men’s shirt into more feminine shape. After taking it apart, I cut the yoke narrower at the shoulders and sew back on gathered bodice pieces. Optionally I could have done pin tucks to the front. Sleeves were quite ok so I didn’t have to taki innon them. I just gathered them on the shoulder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the old collar with new white collar. It is quite high on purpose, but other styles will do aswell. I might later replace the cuffs with white ones. However I will try the old ones first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
