Kissapostaus oli joulukalenterin toivelistalla, joten t\u00e4\u00e4lt\u00e4 pesee ja linkoaa. Viime vuoden joulukalenterissa esitelty kissakolmikko Yoda, Rico ja Lux on kotiutunut hienosti meille. Kaikilla on ihmisten kissakaverina olemisessa opeteltavaa, mutta etenkin Yoda ja Rico ovat jo edistyneetkin sill\u00e4 saralla kovasti. Sisaruskolmikon yhteiselo Nyx-kissan kanssa ei ole l\u00e4htenyt ihan niin ruusuisesti sujumaan kuten toivoimme. Viel\u00e4 ei kuitenkaan luovuteta vaan totutellaan rauhakseen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kaikilla kolmella sisaruksella, mutta etenkin Ricolla oli hellyysaggression oireita. T\u00e4m\u00e4 ilmenee puremisena ja raapimisena silloin kun kissa on saanut tarpeekseen rapsutuksista eik\u00e4 oikein osaa suhtautua tai kun se odottaa kovasti saavansa ruokaa. Rico on edistynyt t\u00e4ss\u00e4 kovasti ja hellyysaggressiota ilmeneekin nyky\u00e4\u00e4n harvakseltaan. Ruokailuun liittyv\u00e4t aggressiot, eli jalkojen pureminen on v\u00e4hentynyt t\u00e4m\u00e4n kes\u00e4n ja syksyn aikana huomattavasti. Ylip\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n ruokailuun liittyv\u00e4t ongelmat ovat t\u00e4m\u00e4n syksyn my\u00f6t\u00e4 v\u00e4hentyneet. T\u00e4m\u00e4 kolmikko kun on ahnettakin ahneempi, joten mik\u00e4\u00e4n ihmisten ruoka ei s\u00e4\u00e4sty n\u00e4ilt\u00e4 herkkusuilta. Tilaisuuden tullen sy\u00f6d\u00e4\u00e4n leiv\u00e4t, pullat, perunalastut, keitetyt vihannekset, jopa jauhopussin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6t ja etenkin kaikki lihaisampi tarjottava. Ne napataan vaikka suoraan ihmisen lautaselta tai k\u00e4dest\u00e4, jos mahdollista. My\u00f6skin ihmis- tai el\u00e4inruuan aromein kuorrutetut elintarvikepakkaukset maistuvat n\u00e4ille kauhukolmosille. Ruuan toivossa n\u00e4m\u00e4 veijarit oppivat avaamaan kaapinovia ja niinp\u00e4 meid\u00e4n roskiskaappimme onkin salvattu nahkaremmill\u00e4 jota ne eiv\u00e4t viel\u00e4 ole oppineet avaamaan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kolmikko on todellakin hyvin oppivainen. Parissa kuukaudessa ne oppivat avaamaan magneetilla suljettavan verkko-oven ja puolessa vuodessa huoneita erottavan v\u00e4lioven, kahvaan hyppim\u00e4ll\u00e4. \u00c4itini vitsailikin ett\u00e4 jos hyvin k\u00e4y niin pian ne oppivat my\u00f6s tiskaamaan. No tavallaan ne osaavat sen jo, koska kaikki p\u00f6ydille j\u00e4\u00e4neet astiat nuollaan kyll\u00e4 puhtaaksi viimeist\u00e4 murua ja kastiketippaa my\u00f6den. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rico on luultavasti arin vaikka on kolmikon kookkain. Rico on my\u00f6skin se joka v\u00e4hiten tulee toimeen Nyxin kanssa. Rico haluaisi jatkuvasti olla toisen kissan l\u00e4hell\u00e4, mutta se johtaa pieniin yhteenottoihin jopa sisarusten v\u00e4lill\u00e4, Nyxist\u00e4 puhumattakaan. Rico my\u00f6s haastaa sisaruksia jatkuvasti l\u00e4psim\u00e4ll\u00e4 niit\u00e4 ohi kulkeissa, mutta etenkin ruokaa odottaessaan. N\u00e4kem\u00e4mme perusteella Rico voisi mielest\u00e4mme sopia parhaiten kodin ainoaksi kissaksi vaikka Pesun adoptioehtona olikin ett\u00e4 Rico adoptoidaan vain jommankumman sisaruksen kanssa. Rico rakastaa silityksi\u00e4 ja paijausta, mutta hellyysaggression ja arvaamattomuuden vuoksi silitt\u00e4minen pit\u00e4\u00e4 tehd\u00e4 tietyll\u00e4 tavalla, mieluiten ei koskaan suoraan edest\u00e4 p\u00e4in. Rico on my\u00f6s kova poika puskemaan. Ricolla on lempilelu, ladattava kalan muotoinen, s\u00e4tkiv\u00e4 pehmolelu. Sit\u00e4 se kanniskelee ja maukuu kun haluaa leikki\u00e4. Lux on koko kolmikon pienin, tytt\u00f6 joka kulkee omia polkujaan. Lux on eritt\u00e4in utelias ja v\u00e4h\u00e4n jopa rauhaton. Lux tykk\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s olla syliss\u00e4 mutta ei malttaisi olla paikallaan vaan haluaa jatkuvasti tutkia paikkoja ja hy\u00f6ri\u00e4 ja py\u00f6ri\u00e4. Lux n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 naamav\u00e4rityksens\u00e4 vuoksi hirmu viattomalta pikkukisulta, mutta usein se on juuri Lux joka yllytt\u00e4\u00e4 poikia pahuuksiin, kuten kiipeilem\u00e4\u00e4n kaappien p\u00e4\u00e4lle ja varastamaan t\u00e4hteit\u00e4 roskiksesta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alkusyksyn aikana on my\u00f6s tapahtunut huomattava k\u00e4\u00e4nne sill\u00e4 Nyx on tottunut silitt\u00e4miseen. Meille on muodostunut er\u00e4\u00e4nlainen kissa-rutiini. Aamulla kun her\u00e4\u00e4mme, Nyx hypp\u00e4\u00e4 s\u00e4ngylle, heitt\u00e4ytyy pitk\u00e4kseen ja alkaa kiehn\u00e4t\u00e4 itse\u00e4\u00e4n peittoon. Se tarkoittaa sit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 nyt pit\u00e4\u00e4 silitt\u00e4\u00e4. Aluksi se tarkoitti sit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 k\u00e4sivarret alkoivat v\u00e4hitellen peitty\u00e4 verinaarmuihin. Kissoilla toki riitt\u00e4\u00e4 vanhassa talossa tutkittavaa ja puuhaa. Er\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4 aamuna l\u00f6ysin nimitt\u00e4in kolmikon huoneesta lattialta hiiren h\u00e4nn\u00e4n. Sellaisen oikeasta hiirest\u00e4 per\u00e4isin olevan. Olivat siis pyydyst\u00e4neet huoneeseen erehtyneen hiiriparan ja sy\u00f6neet sen niin ett\u00e4 vain h\u00e4nt\u00e4 j\u00e4i j\u00e4ljelle. Cat post was on the Christmas calendar request list, so here it comes. Last years Christmas calendar I introduced you to Yoda, Rico and Lux. They have now become members of our family. They all still have much to learn about living with hoomans, but especially Yoda and Rico have come a long way since. Them living with Nyx hasn’t really been as rosy start as we were hoping for though. But we are not giving up yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All three siblings, but especially Rico, had tenderness aggression symptoms. That caused biting when they have got enough of cuddling and don’t really know how to handle it or are excitedly waiting for food. Rico has advanced a lot and these days aggressions only occur rarely when I’m petting Rico. Food related aggressions, like biting the feet, has been reduced a lot this summer and autumn. Generally the problems while feeding times have reduced a lot this Autumn. These three cats are so greedy, nothing can be left out on counters. Of the opportunity rises, they will eat anything from buns and breads to crisps, cooked vegetables and even flour from flour bag, not to mention more meaty options. They will grab them directly from your plate or hand, if possible. Also any food packaging, smelling like food will get eaten. When searching for something to nibble, they have also learned to open cupboards. So we have to close our bin with leather strap to keep them out of there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Triplets certainly is learning easily. In couple of months they learned to open net door, closed with magnets. In six months they learned to open the door between rooms, just by jumping on the handle. My mum made a joke that perhaps soon they also learn to do dishes. Well, in a way they already do that, because if any dishes left on counters, will be licked squeaky clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They all have individual personalities. Yoda is very nosy and friendly. He is the first to investigate the shopping bags and greet you. He likes staying on lap and starts purring straight away when you start stroking him. He is also the most demanding, he gets fed up quickly and requires activities all the time. Because we have to separate them from Nyx still, he is usually the one jumping on the door and demanding to get out. Even when we are in the same room. That’s because Yoda knows that there are treats available in the other room. It’s Nyx’s dry food bowl, and it’s really easy to steal treats from that if you can just get the door open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rico is probably most sensitive and easily spooked, even though he is biggest of them lot. He is also the one who gets along Nyx the least. He would like to be nearby another cat all the time, but that leads into incidents, even with siblings, not to mention Nyx. Rico also challenges other siblings by slapping them when they walk past, especially when they are waiting to be fed. Base don what we have seen, Rico would best suit into the only cat of the family, even though the terms of adobtion demanded that he would only be adobted with either of the siblings. Rico loves fusses, but due to tenderness aggression, it needs to be done certain way, never directly from the front. Rico also loves to headbutt things. Rico has favourite toy, rechargeable wiggly fish. When he want’s to play, he carries that around and meows. When the fish goes flat, he notifies of it by meowing loudly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lux is the smallest, girl who walks her own paths. She is very nosy and even a bit restless. Lux also likes to sit on the lap, but she is too lively to stay put and loves to just roam around and twist and turn. Due to the colouring on her face, she always looks very innocent little kitty, however we are sure it’s her who often instigates boys into mischief. Like climbing ontop the cupboards or stealing leftovers from the bin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have had Nyx three years now. There’s been something magical this Summer and Autumn, because Nyx has advanced a lot. When she came to us, she was a cat who could not be touched at all. Most of the time she was hiding on the top hammock of her scratching post, with flat ears. Still she is quite shy and prefers to run under the furniture when humans walk towards. However now she does not hide when we get guests, but sleeps calmly in her nest. In early Autumn there was also a change on the handling. She is now more comfortable at touching. We now have a little cat routine. When we get up in the morning, she jumps on the bed and lies down , waiting for fussing. Then we must fuss her. At first it meant that our arms were full of scratches. She still does not like touching, but she absolutely loves fusses. Same routine happens also in the evening when we go to bed. If I sit on the bed and ignore her, she even comes closer and leans towards me to get the attention. Just like Rico, Nyx must be fussed in specific way. Least risk on getting scratches is when you rub around her ears or chin. Nyx has also started to sleep with us on the bed. Six months ago that wouldn’t happen at all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So yeah, those were our cat news. It doesn’t get boring in our household, this lot makes sure of that. Cats have lots to do and investigate in the big old house. One morning I found a mouse tail from triplets room. I mean from real mouse. So cats must have caught and ate a mouse which made a mistake on coming inside. Unfortunately we weren’t able to finish the catio past summer, but let’s hope we will succeed next summer. Then there is even more adventure on our cat’s life when they are able to go out and sniff the air. If they aren’t too shy to use it. It took them almost a year untill they noticed that hey, there is birds and squirrels outside and you can see them through the window. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
