Peilipiironki on vilahtanut blogissa nopsasti talopostausten yhteydess\u00e4, mutta en ole viel\u00e4 tarkemmin esitellyt sit\u00e4. Olen pitk\u00e4\u00e4n haaveillut t\u00e4llaisesta isosta peilipiirongista jossa on ovaali peili, mutta aiemmin ei sellaiselle ole ollut oikein tilaa. Kun saimme tiet\u00e4\u00e4 ett\u00e4 talokaupat toteutuvat, myin vanhan 50-luvun peilip\u00f6yt\u00e4ni pois ja kuin ihmeen kaupalla l\u00f6ysin t\u00e4m\u00e4n kaunottaren melko edullisesti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syy edulliseen hintaan lienee se ett\u00e4 lakkapinta on hilseillyt tasoilta ja peilin kannatinpuut ovat v\u00e4\u00e4ntyneet kieroon. T\u00e4llaiset pikkuseikat eiv\u00e4t kuitenkaan haittaa piirongin k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4. Sein\u00e4\u00e4 vasten tuettuna peilin kannattimet oikenevat itsekseen v\u00e4hitellen ja hilseilev\u00e4t pinnat voi peitt\u00e4\u00e4 vaikka kauniilla pikkuliinoilla. Hiukan isompi ongelma on ett\u00e4 alimmaisen vetolaatikon vedin on irronnut. Siihen pit\u00e4\u00e4 aikanaan vaihtaa uusi vedin, mutta ei sek\u00e4\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4 est\u00e4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dressing table has been quickly seen in the blog in other posts, but I haven’t really showcased it yet. I had been dreaming about this kind of big dressing table with oval mirror, but never before I had enough space for one. When we found out that we are actually buying a house, I sold my small 50’s dressing table and miraculously happened to find this for sale, quite affordably aswell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reasons for cheap prices are that the varnish has peeled off of the counters and mirror holders are crooked. These tiny details don’t bother me. When dressing table is supported against the wall, the mirror holders are practically straightening themselves and I can always cover peeling varnish with small doilies. A tad bigger problem is that handle on the bottom drawer has come off. It will need replacing eventually, but that doesn’t prevent using it either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabinets and drawers take quite a lot of things in. Some of it is still looking for final place and some is waiting for us to finish the bedroom renovation. Location for the dressing table is probably not final yet, but before that it is perfect setup for all sorts of changing displays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
