So we will become pretty soon house owners. Hopefully we are able to sign the papers before the end of the month. Yay! This will show up in the blog too. I don’t really know yet how, but there will be changes. I will make a little tour on the house as soon as we get the keys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then the actual issue I was planning for today. Now when the move is confirmed, I have started to go through my cupboards. With the thought of getting rid of useless things before the move. Those who follow my Instagram have already seen some clips of this issue. Earlier during the Autumn I already sold quite a bunch of my vintage garments, which I had been keeping years for purely emotional reasons. Finally I was ready to let go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When going through my things I have re-discovered some of my old favourites, which I haven’t used for years, one reason or another. Like this knit dress, which I bought new from sale over ten years ago and revamped with crochet sleeves and powder pink chiffon flowers (seen before here<\/a>). It’s originally a dress, but it seems too short now, so I just use it as a jumper. I combined it with my favourite silk collar. I don’t really know why I haven’t been using it for ages. It is very charming and works with pretty much all of my warmer tops and dresses. Perhaps I should have ironed it first. Oh well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Black skirt is jaquard wool mix, I’ve had it in my revamp-pile for years. Originally it was size 36, but generous pleating on the hem allowed me to make it my size. I ripped the waistband off, repleated the hem, made new waistband and sewed it back on. Tadah, new skirt in perfect size. I also finished my reflective legwarmers around the new years. You can’t really see them in the photo though. I haven’t been able to test how well they reflect. I don’t have very big hopes on that, even though it is fun detail on them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hyv\u00e4\u00e4 vuoden alkua, armahat lukijat!
