Joulukalenterin toivepostauksena oli jotakin 1920-lukuista. Saamanne pit\u00e4\u00e4. Ilouutisena voin ensinn\u00e4kin kertoa ett\u00e4 Tampereella museo Milavidassa<\/a> avautuu helmikuun lopussa 2021 n\u00e4yttely nimelt\u00e4 Paluu 20-luvulle. Olen ollut mukana tekem\u00e4ss\u00e4 yht\u00e4 n\u00e4yttelyyn liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 projektia, mutta en paljasta siit\u00e4 sen enemp\u00e4\u00e4. Saatte itse k\u00e4yd\u00e4 toteamassa. Toivotaan ett\u00e4 koronatilanne paranee siihen menness\u00e4 sen verran, ett\u00e4 n\u00e4yttely voidaan avata suunnitelmien mukaisesti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mutta mit\u00e4 muuta kivaa voin kertoa teille 20-luvusta? Mit\u00e4p\u00e4 sanoisitte t\u00e4st\u00e4? 20-luvulla kun hiukset ja hatut olivat p\u00e4\u00e4nmy\u00f6t\u00e4isi\u00e4 nousi muoti-ilmi\u00f6ksi er\u00e4s erikoisuus. Se ei ole oikein peruukki, mutta ei se ole oikein hattukaan vaan jotain silt\u00e4 v\u00e4lilt\u00e4. Kankaiseen eritt\u00e4in p\u00e4\u00e4nmy\u00f6t\u00e4iseen pohjaan ommeltiin kiinni ohuita metallilankoja ik\u00e4\u00e4nkuin hiuksiksi. Niist\u00e4 muotoiltiin lainekampauksia, syker\u00f6it\u00e4 ja pieni\u00e4 palmikoita. Lis\u00e4n\u00e4 saattoi olla koristeita kuten kangaskukkia tai hiussolkia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En ihan tarkalleen tied\u00e4 onko n\u00e4it\u00e4 k\u00e4ytetty teatterissa vai ovatko ne olleet maailmannaisten iltakostyymin kruunuja. Itse en valitettavasti omista sellaista koska hinnat ovat k\u00e4sitt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00f6mi\u00e4, mutta pinterest-kansiostani voitte ihailla<\/a> mille ne n\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t. Requested post was about 1920’s. Here it comes. As a happy news I can tell you that in the end of the February 2021 there will be new exhibition opening in Museum Milavida in Tampere<\/a>. It is called “Paluu 20-luvulle”, Back to the 20’s. I have been working on one project for the exhibition, but I will not reveal more about it. Go and see for yourselves, if you can. Let’s hope the situation with covid19 improves by them, atleast so that they can open it as planned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what fun can I tell you about the 1920’s? How about this? In the 20’s there was this rather unusual fashion due to very snug hairdo’s and hats. It’s not really a wig, but it’s not hat either, but something in between. Very fine metal wires\/bullions have been sewn onto thin fabric base, which is very head-hugging. Metal wires created hair-like forms, waves, buns and little braids. There could also be some decorations like silk flowers and hair buckles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not exactly sure what these were used for. If they were used in theater or were they evening attire of renowned flappers. I don’t unfortunately own one, because they are extremely expensive to buy, but you can check from my Pinterest board what they look like<\/a>. It’s also very difficult to find any information about these, so I can’t really tell you much more about them. Looks like this fashion didn’t last very long, but because they basically last forever, there are some of these at online marketplaces. It’s pretty difficult to find authentic photos of women wearing these, but I managed to find couple of those too. I also scanned couple of my 1920’s film star cards, otherwise this post would have been without photos. These ladies could have been wearing similar wigs too, but I think they have their own hair in these photos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
