Edell\u00e4 mainitusta johtuen en ole jaksanut olla mukana kaikissa historiallisissa tapahtumissa joissa olisin halunnut ja harrastaminen ylip\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n on j\u00e4\u00e4nyt p\u00e4\u00e4osin niihin juttuihin joita olen voinut tehd\u00e4 helpommin kotona (esim. kansallispuvut)<\/strong> ja sellaisiin reissuihin joihin olen voinut l\u00e4hte\u00e4 puolison kanssa. Balettitunneilla jaksoin k\u00e4yd\u00e4 vain pari kertaa alkusyksyst\u00e4. Ty\u00f6huone on ollut retuper\u00e4ll\u00e4 sill\u00e4 en ole jaksanut edellisen muuton j\u00e4lkeen j\u00e4rjest\u00e4\u00e4 sit\u00e4. T\u00e4st\u00e4 syyst\u00e4 isompia tutoriaaleja tai muitakaan ompelujuttuja ei ole blogiin ilmestynyt. Yleisesti ottaen blogi on ollut hiljaisempi jo viimeiset pari vuotta, ja keskittynyt kotoisempiin asioihin, jotka on ollut suhteellisen helppo saada blogiin. Ideoita ja intoa olisi ollut hurjasti paljon enemm\u00e4n, kuin mihin jaksaminen lopulta riitti. Mutta ei se mit\u00e4\u00e4n, blogissa on kuitenkin ollut kaikenlaista kivaa pienemmist\u00e4 tutoriaaleista puutarhanhoitoon, tapahtumaraporteista vintageaarteisiin jne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Itselleni j\u00e4i menneest\u00e4 vuodesta parhaiten mieleen kev\u00e4\u00e4n 1700-luvun baali<\/a>, johon ompelemani 1700-luvun angleesi-puku onnistui yli odotusten sek\u00e4 elokuinen Dublinin Worldcon<\/a>, johon osallistumista oltiin suunniteltu viimeiset kaksi vuotta. Valitettavasti kev\u00e4tbaalia ei ensivuonna tule, mutta toivottavasti monia muita hienoja tapahtumia. My\u00f6s toisen kansallispuvun hankkiminen<\/a> oli hieno saavutus. Sen valmistumista tullaan seuraamaan blogissa tulevanakin vuonna. Yksi t\u00e4rkeimmist\u00e4 asioista oli tietysti uuden kissakaverin saaminen kotiin<\/a>. Y\u00f6nkuningattaren kanssa viel\u00e4 opetellaan olemista ihmisseurassa ja totutellaan Takua siihen ettei armon rouva olekaan en\u00e4\u00e4 perheen ainoa kissa. This year and also the whole decade is coming to an end. I am excited to see what new 20’s will bring. 1920’s has always been my favourite era when it comes to fashion, so that as my inspiration, I am planning on taking full advantage of the new 20’s. There hasn’t been very much outfit photos in the blog during past couple years, but if my plans are working, there will be more in the future. I am expecting other big changes too. Professionally I will start my year from clean plate. I am starting a brand new job, pretty different compared to previous in couple weeks. I am hoping that new, more steady work routine will give me more free weekends for my hobbies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I am also hoping, that my health will improve in the future, past two years have been a bit rough. Despite of medication and treatments, my health hasn’t taken a turn to better, but has been slowly deteriorating. You might have heard about the spoon-reference, I will explain in case you haven’t. Healthy person has almost unlimited amount of spoons. Practically they never run out. There is always enough spoons for meeting friends, going to work, having hobbies and doing home economic things like dishes. When person has some basic illness which limits the amount of energy, there is only very limited amount of spoons. Perhaps just four spoons per day, or ten per week. When spoons run out, you run out of energy. If there is a planned meeting, that might take two of the four spoons, after which there is only two spoons left for rest of the day: going to work, tidying up the house etc. I have had the feeling during whole year that my amount of spoons is getting smaller and smaller. Even though I’m not forced to my bed or anything and I am able to go to work, do daily shopping and such, it takes forever to recuperate. It feels that after work I don’t have energy to do anything else, no hobbies, no cooking, no cleaning the house, nothing. After our lovely Dickensian style Christmas it took me several days to recover. Keep your fingers crossed that in January they can finally figure out what is wrong with me and get the medication sorted and me feeling more energized again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Now we finally come to what actually happened this year, in the blog and in my life. Due to previously mentioned issues, I haven’t been able to join in to all the historical events I would have wanted. Most of my hobbies this year have mainly been something that I have been able to do at home (like my folk costumes)<\/strong> and trips that I have been able to go with my hubby. I only had the energy to take couple ballet classes in early Autumn. Work room has been a mess, I haven’t had energy to organise it properly after the previous move. Due to that there hasn’t been any major tutorials in my blog, nor much sewing in general. Over all blog has been quieter this year, well actually past couple of years really. Just posting easier, more homely stuff. I did have ideas and enthusiasm, much more than what my energy levels actually allowed me to do in the end. But not to worry, I still had all sorts of fun stuff in here, smaller tutorials, gardening, event reports, vintage treasures etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n My favourite things during this year were the 1700’s Spring ball<\/a>, for which I made the fabulous robe anglaise and our Dublin Worldcon trip<\/a> in August. We had been planning that trip for two years. Unfortunately there won’t be a Spring ball in 2020, but hopefully other fabulous events. Buying my second national costume<\/a> was also one of my favourite achievements. Next year there will be also updates about how it comes together. One of the most important things in our life was of course getting a new cat friend<\/a>. Queen of the night is still learning how to live with humans and Taku the cat is adjusting to live with another cat. Odotan innolla mit\u00e4 uusi 20-luku tuo tullessaan. 1920-luku on aina ollut muodin suhteen lemppareitani ja aion se inpsiraationani ottaa uudesta 20-luvusta ihan kaiken irti. Asukuvia on viimeaikoina n\u00e4hty blogissa harvakseltaan, mutta mik\u00e4li suunnitelmani onnistuvat niin asukuviakin n\u00e4kyy jatkossa enemm\u00e4n. Odotan muutenkin tulevalta vuodelta suuria muutoksia. Itse aloitan… <\/p>\n
