K\u00e4vimme nimitt\u00e4in elokuussa \u00e4itini kanssa Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4ss\u00e4 Suomen k\u00e4sity\u00f6n museossa. Siell\u00e4 oli esill\u00e4 pienoisn\u00e4yttely kansallispukuker\u00e4ilij\u00e4 Mari Varosen Kansallispuvussa-kokoelmasta<\/a>. Lis\u00e4ksi museossa on pysyv\u00e4mpi n\u00e4yttely, jossa on esill\u00e4 my\u00f6s kansallispukuja ja muita perinteisi\u00e4 k\u00e4sit\u00f6it\u00e4. Itse\u00e4ni kansallispuvuissa kiinnostavat erityisesti kauniit yksityiskohdat ja k\u00e4sity\u00f6tekniikat. K\u00e4sity\u00f6n museossa<\/a> on paljon muutakin kiinnostavaa n\u00e4ht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 kuin mit\u00e4 n\u00e4ihin muutamaan kuvaan mahtuu, joten suosittelen poikkeamaan jos k\u00e4sity\u00f6t ja niiden historia kiinnostavat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer was such a busy time I just haven’t had the time to post this earlier. In August, me and my mum visited the Crafts museum of Finland<\/a> in Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. They had small exhibition of national costume collector Mari Varonen’s Kansallispuvussa-collection<\/a>. Mari has over 200 of the total of about 400 different Finnish national costumes. There is also larger more permanent exhibition where is showcased more national costumes and other traditional handicrafts. I am mostly fascinated by all lovely details in them and also traditional handcrafting techniques. There is much more to see in the museum than these couple photos can show, so I highly recommend if you are interested in handicrafts and history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
