Se on nimitt\u00e4in taas aika vuotuisen Blogi-joulukalenterin. Olen julkaissut joulukalenteri-postauksia blogiin jo seitsem\u00e4n vuotta, ja t\u00e4m\u00e4 on kahdeksas. Huisia! T\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna kalenterissa n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n jo syksyn mittaan tutuksi tulleen zero waste-teeman postauksia, mutta my\u00f6s vintage-aarteita. Ja ehk\u00e4 jotain randomeita juttuja. Toiveitakin saa esitt\u00e4\u00e4, yrit\u00e4n saada mukaan my\u00f6s toivepostauksia jos vain suinkin ehdin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aloitetaan kuitenkin perheuutisilla. Jos olet seurannut blogiani jo pitemp\u00e4\u00e4n muistanet ett\u00e4 meill\u00e4 pit\u00e4\u00e4 majaa Mouhij\u00e4rven kuningatar, Villa Ruosteen yksinvaltias, Taku-kissa. Marraskuun alussa tilanne kuitenkin muuttui, sill\u00e4 valtakuntaamme saapui toinen kuningatar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olimme jo pidemp\u00e4\u00e4n miettineet toisen kissan hankkimista. Kodittomien kissojen m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 on r\u00e4j\u00e4ht\u00e4nyt k\u00e4siin, joten halusimme antaa loppuel\u00e4m\u00e4n kodin yhdelle sellaiselle. Lopulta otimme yhteytt\u00e4 Pesu ry:hyn, ilmoittaen ett\u00e4 olimme kiinnostuneita er\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 heid\u00e4n loukuttamastaan kissasta. Kissa oli ollut sijaiskodissa jo pitk\u00e4\u00e4n ja oli arka ja v\u00e4rins\u00e4kin puolesta sen oli vaikea saada pysyv\u00e4\u00e4 kotia. K\u00e4vimme katsomassa kissaa sijaiskodissa, mutta h\u00e4n oli enemm\u00e4n sit\u00e4 mielt\u00e4 ett\u00e4 pit\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4 tunkkinne ja piilotteli katonrajassa kaapin p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lopputulos kuitenkin oli se ett\u00e4 keskiviikkona 6.11 sijaiskodissa saatiin kissa kuljetuslaatikkoon ja Y\u00f6n kuningatar Nyx Amanda saapui vihdoin kotiin. Nyxi\u00e4 varten oli hankittu korkea kiipeilyteline, uusi hiekkalaatikko ja muita tarvikkeita. Ensimm\u00e4isen y\u00f6n Nyx kuitenkin vietti kirjahyllyn p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4. Nyt nelj\u00e4 viikkoa my\u00f6hemmin Nyx on edelleen arka mutta uskaltaa jo tulla alas kiipeilypuun ylimm\u00e4lt\u00e4 riippumatolta, yleens\u00e4 kuitenkin silloin kun kukaan ei n\u00e4e. Onneksi riippumatosta voi katsella ulos ja se onkin ollut Nyxin lempipuuhaa. Kalkkunaleikkele on Nyxin herkkua ja sit\u00e4 h\u00e4n uskaltaa ottaa jo k\u00e4dest\u00e4, vaikka ei muuten oikein uskalla sy\u00f6d\u00e4 mit\u00e4\u00e4n ihmisten n\u00e4hden. Taku ja Nyx ovat jo n\u00e4hneet toisensa, mutta toistaiseksi Nyx on omassa huoneessaan, jonne Takulla ei ole asiaa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have wanted to see more posts in my blog, you got it! Keep your eyes peeled, because it’s time for annual Christmas calendar. I have published X-mas calendar posts already seven years, this year is eight. Awesome! This years calendar will bring you more zero waste-posts, but also vintage treasures. And perhaps some random stuff. You can also make requests, I try to do some of those if I have time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But let’s start with family news. If you have followed my blog longer, you might remember that with us lives the Queen of Mouhij\u00e4rvi, sovereign of Villa Rust, Taku the cat. In the beginning of November the situation change, because we received another queen to our realm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had been thinking about getting another cat for awhile now. The amount of homeless cats has boomed in our area, so we wanted to give one cat a permanent home. Finally we contacted local animal shelter organisation and asked about one of their cats. She had been in temporary home for quite long time, was very shy and had difficulties getting a home because of her colour. We went to see this cat in the temporary home, but she thought more along the lines “screw you” and was hiding on top of the cabinet, close to the ceiling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Result is however, that on Wednesday 6.11 temporary home managed to get cat in the transportation box and Queen of the Night, Nyx Amanda finally arrived home. We got high scratching pole\/climbing tree for her, new sand box and other stuff. First night she spent on top of the book shelf though. Now four weeks later Nyx is still very shy and spends most of her time up in the hammock, but comes down daily when no-one sees. Thankfully hammock is good place to look outside and that is her favourite thing to do for now. She absolutely loves turkey slices and takes that from hand, which is fantastic, because otherwise she only eats secretly when nobody sees. Taku and Nyx have seen each other, but for now Nyx has her own room, where Taku doesn’t get to go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
