T\u00e4ytyisk\u00f6 jo huolestua? Kaiken muun vapaa-ajan aktiviteetin lis\u00e4ksi meist\u00e4 n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 is\u00e4nn\u00e4n kanssa olevan kuoriutumassa my\u00f6s mobilisteja. Viikko ennen juhannusta j\u00e4rjestettiin Vantaalla yhdistetty Helsingin seudun Automobiiliklubin<\/a> Kulttuuriajo ja Suomen Ajoneuvohistoriallisen keskusliiton<\/a> Retkeilyajo 2019. N\u00e4m\u00e4 historiallisten ajoneuvojen kokoontumisajot eiv\u00e4t ole ehk\u00e4 sit\u00e4 perinteisint\u00e4 cruisingia, joihin esim fiftari-autojen harrastajat ovat tottuneet (en tarkkaan tied\u00e4 sill\u00e4 en ole koskaan osallistunut sellaiseen fiftari-cruisingiin)<\/strong>. Ajo toteutetaan ennalta suunniteltua reitti\u00e4 pitkin, jonka varrella on teht\u00e4v\u00e4rasteja, joilla voi olla erilaisia visailukysymyksi\u00e4 tai teht\u00e4vi\u00e4 joista annetaan osallistujille pisteit\u00e4. Pisteet lasketaan ja voittajat palkitaan p\u00e4iv\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4tteeksi. Ajoihin kuuluu lis\u00e4ksi my\u00f6s asu-ajoneuvokilpailu, jossa osanottajien tulee pukeutua auton valmistusvuotta vastaaviin asuihin. Rekvisiittaa saa olla mukana my\u00f6s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAHK:n Retkeilyajo taitaa olla n\u00e4ist\u00e4 historiallisten automobiilien ajoista suurin Suomessa. T\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna se oli yhdistetty HAK:n Kulttuuriajon kanssa ja autokuntia olikin mukana melkein 200. Ajoneuvojen ik\u00e4haarukka oli 1906-1988. Siihen mahtuu monenlaista upeaa menopeli\u00e4. Meid\u00e4n ajokkinamme piti oleman tuttavamme 1925 T-Ford, mutta erin\u00e4isten teknisten ongelmien johdosta jouduimme lopulta j\u00e4tt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n Fordin tapahtuman parkkipaikalle. Se ei nimitt\u00e4in aamulla suostunutkaan k\u00e4ynnistym\u00e4\u00e4n vaikka edellisp\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4 se oli k\u00e4ynyt oikein mallikkaasti kun lastasimme sit\u00e4 trailerille. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vanhojen mobiilien kanssa tilanteet muuttuu ja aina voi sattua ett\u00e4 auto hajoaa tai ei k\u00e4ynnisty tms. Kuulimme ett\u00e4 er\u00e4s toinenkin 20-luvun auto oli j\u00e4\u00e4nyt pois ajoista. Se oli p\u00e4\u00e4ssyt l\u00e4ht\u00f6paikalla kymmenen metri\u00e4 ja hajonnut sitten siihen. Me p\u00e4\u00e4timme ettei anneta takaiskun haitata tunnelmaa ja liftasimmekin sitten toisen autokunnan kyytiin. P\u00e4\u00e4simme kiert\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n koko reitin huikean hienosti entis\u00f6idyss\u00e4 Mersussa ja kokemaan ensimm\u00e4isten ajojemme tunnelmaa. Vaikka n\u00e4m\u00e4 retkeilyajot eiv\u00e4t varsinaisesti ole yleis\u00f6tapahtumia, vaan autoharrastajien omia tapahtumia, niit\u00e4 j\u00e4rjestet\u00e4\u00e4n toisinaan muiden tapahtumien yhteydess\u00e4 jolloin yleis\u00f6ll\u00e4kin on mahdollisuus p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 n\u00e4kem\u00e4\u00e4n vanhoja autoja ainakin ajon l\u00e4ht\u00f6paikalla kun autot l\u00e4htev\u00e4t matkaan noin minuutin v\u00e4lein. Tapahtumakalenteri<\/a>, jossa muitakin autoharrastajien tapahtumia, l\u00f6ytyy SAHK:n sivuilta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kulkemamme reitti oli suunniteltu niin ett\u00e4 jokaisessa kohteessa oli jotakin kiinnostavaa n\u00e4ht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4. Tukikohtamme oli Backaksen kartano, josta Osuusliike Elanto on saanut alkunsa. Muita vierailukohteita olivat tv:st\u00e4 tuttu Weird Antiques, H\u00e5kansb\u00f6len kartano, Vantaan Energian j\u00e4tevoimala, Malmin lentokentt\u00e4 ja Neste Keh\u00e4kessa. Itselleni ompelin 1920-luvun puoliv\u00e4lin mukaisen kes\u00e4puvun Muotitalo Worthin mallin mukaan ja is\u00e4nn\u00e4lle hommattiin autonkuljettajan asu. Jos ei auto l\u00e4htenyt aamulla k\u00e4yntiin niin is\u00e4nn\u00e4n kaasujalkakin vikaantui kiireess\u00e4, saappaasta nimitt\u00e4in irtosi pohja kesken kaiken. Autokuskin asusta ei tullut kuvaa otettua. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should I be worried? In addition to all our other hobbies, it seems that we are turning into mobilists too. Week before Juhannus, there was culture cruising in Vantaa. Organizers were Helsinki area automobil club (<\/strong>HAK<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong> and head organization for Finnish historical car clubs (<\/strong>SAHK<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong>. These kind of cruisings for historical cars aren’t perhaps what fifties car enthusiasts are used to (I don’t really know, because I have never taken part on those fifties cars cruisings)<\/strong>. Route is planned in advance and along the way there is little task\/pop quiz locations. Participants get points on doing these tasks and pop quiz’s. Points are counted and winners will be announced afterwards. There is also outfit-car competition, where participants must wear outfit from same era than the car is. Props are most welcome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual SAHK cruising is probably the biggest event like this in Finland. This year it was combined with HAK cruising. There was almost 200 cars participating between manufacturing years 1906-1988. Lots of fabulous vehicles. Our car was supposed to be Ford model T from 1925. However due to all sorts of technical problems our car did not start in the morning of the event. It had been running beautifully on previous day when me loaded it on the trailer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With old cars like this, situations can change and there is always possibility of break down. We heard that another 1920’s car managed to make ten meters from the start and then broke down. But we decided not to let this take us down and hitchhiked on to another car. Lovely couple with gorgeously restored 1950’s Mercedez Benz kindly took us with them, so we were able to go around the whole route and experience the athmosphere of our first cruising. Even though these cruisings are really events for mobilists, they are sometimes organized relating to other events, so audience is allowed to see these lovely old cars. Start is scheduled so audience is able to take a good look on the start area. I don’t know if similar events are organized in other countries, but if you visit Finland, you can see the schedule of these cruisings and other car events on SAHK event calendar<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route for cruising was planned so that in each stop had something interesting to see. Our base was Backas Manor in Vantaa. Other stops were Weird Antiques, H\u00e5kansb\u00f6le manor, Vantaa Energy waste power plant, Malmi airport and Neste Keh\u00e4kessa, a reststop in Vantaa. I made myself mid 1920’s summer dress, designed by Worth and for hubby we bought chauffers outfit. Our car didn’t start in the morning, but chauffer also had malfunction. Sole on one boot came off in the morning. Unfortunately we didn’t take any photos of his outfit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upeasti entis\u00f6ity Mersu kuljetti meit\u00e4 reitin l\u00e4pi. Muotoilu on hyvin 30-lukuista sill\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4 auto on suunniteltu 1930-luvun lopussa. Toisen maailmansodan johdosta sen valmistus kuitenkin lykk\u00e4\u00e4ntyi ja se p\u00e4\u00e4si tuotantoon vasta 1953. Tiett\u00e4v\u00e4sti t\u00e4m\u00e4 on ainoa ajokuntoinen yksil\u00f6 Suomessa. \/
Fantasticly refurbished Mercedes took us through the whole route. Design is very 1930’s because this was designed ant the end of 30’s. However due to Second World War, manufacturing was delayed and it went into production in 1953. Supposedly this is the only one in working condition in Finland. <\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
