Kahden vaatekaapin siivouksessa poistoon l\u00e4hti pieni\u00e4 tai rikkin\u00e4isi\u00e4 alusvaatteita ja trikootoppeja joita en ole k\u00e4ytt\u00e4nyt vuosiin. P\u00f6ydilt\u00e4 ja tasoilta lojumasta on bongattu yksitt\u00e4isi\u00e4 esineit\u00e4. Varsinainen ty\u00f6 ja ongelmat alkoivat siin\u00e4 20:n p\u00e4iv\u00e4n kohdalla kun koko loppu kuukausi pit\u00e4isi joka p\u00e4iv\u00e4 l\u00f6yt\u00e4\u00e4 reilu parikymment\u00e4 juttua poistoon. Se tarkoittaa jo melko perusteellista raivausta kaapeissa. T\u00e4h\u00e4n menness\u00e4 olen tehnyt perusteellisempaa siivousta vain yhdess\u00e4 vaatekaapissa. Viel\u00e4 on j\u00e4ljell\u00e4 monta vaatekaappia, siivouskomero, eteisen kaappi jossa sekalaista tavaraa, keitti\u00f6n kaapit jne. Tied\u00e4n ett\u00e4 siivouskomero on ainakin sellainen roinapes\u00e4ke, ett\u00e4 sen setviminen vaatii jo enemm\u00e4n paneutumista. L\u00e4\u00e4kekaappi saattaa my\u00f6s kaivata l\u00e4pi k\u00e4ymist\u00e4. Nyt olen itseasiassa j\u00e4\u00e4nyt v\u00e4h\u00e4n j\u00e4lkeen haasteen kanssa.<\/p>\n
T\u00e4h\u00e4n menness\u00e4 olen tuntenut iloa siit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 olen saanut raivauksen alulle, ahdistusta siit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 aika ei tahdo riitt\u00e4\u00e4 tekemiseen ja tyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4 siit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 paikat alkavat hitaasti, mutta varmasti vihdoin j\u00e4rjesty\u00e4. Kaksi vuotta muuton j\u00e4lkeen. Kaksi vuotta! Hyv\u00e4n\u00e4 motivaationa toimii kuvien postaaminen facebook-ryhm\u00e4n tsemppikansioon. Tuskin niit\u00e4 kukaan siell\u00e4 k\u00e4y sen tarkemmin laskemassa ja tutkimassa ett\u00e4 onko nyt varmasti 16 esinett\u00e4 heitetty pois, mutta itselle se on yll\u00e4tt\u00e4v\u00e4n hyv\u00e4 kiritt\u00e4j\u00e4 kun pyrkii kuvaamaan ja postaamaan kaiken. Jos se motivoi niin miksi ei!\u00a0Tuntuu ainakin ett\u00e4 kuukausi menee ihan hujauksessa.\u00a0En sen enemp\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4yt\u00e4 blogia t\u00e4m\u00e4n haasteen tiimoilta, mutta kuun vaihduttua ajattelin viel\u00e4 tehd\u00e4 yhteenvedon koko hommasta ja katsoa mitk\u00e4 fiilikset on sitten helmikuun alussa. Minulla on jo muutamia suunnitelmia mit\u00e4 tapahtuu minimalismihaasteen j\u00e4lkeen.<\/p>\n
My minimalism challenge is now just past half way, so I thought to share some thoughts how it’s been. So far it’s been relatively easy to stay on the schedule. I haven’t really wasted much effort on it yet. Less than 20 items per day have been easy to achieve just by picking random objects from counters and tables. Some items have gone straight to bin, but I have been filling fleamarket bags too. I have also been a bit sneaky and counted the items that were already in my flea market bags. Idea is to get rid of the flea market bags for good. Untill now they have been just gathering dust in the corner.<\/p>\n Easiest place to remove stuff\u00a0 has been toilet, where I keep my makeup and hair products. I went through some cosmetics and found\u00a0 samples, empty containers and stuff that’s gone bad. Also pile of hairpins that are either broken or not used for years. I didn’t even count empty cardboard boxes (handfull of those too)<\/strong><\/span> because they belong to rubish anyway. However I still haven’t\u00a0 even done the whole toilet. Other quite easy target has been work table where all the paperwork lives.<\/p>\n I have organized just two wardrobe closet and result was pile of small or broken underwear and tops that I haven’t used for years.\u00a0So things have been quite laid back up till the 20th of January.\u00a0 Then the problems and actual work started. Rest of the month I need to find over 20 items every single day. That means digging deep. I still have more wardrobes to go through, cleaning closet, hallway closet with miscellaneous stuff, kitchen cupboards and so on. I know that cleaning closet will be tough job, because it’s basically a junk closet. Medicine box also needs taking care off. I have actually fallen behind a bit on the challenge now.<\/p>\n So far I have been happy about starting this challenge, anxiety about not having enough time for it and satisfaction on the fact that our home is slowly, but surely getting organized. Two years after moving in. Two years! Good motivation has been posting photos on facebook support photo album. I don’t think anyone would go through them and count every object, but it is a good encouragement for myself. If photographing and posting everything is a good motivator, then why not!\u00a0Atleast now it feels that the month is going way too fast.\u00a0I am not going to fill my blog with this stuff any more than this, but I will make one more post after the challenge is over.\u00a0 Just to make a\u00a0 recap and see what my feelings are after the challenge, and I have some ideas what happens after this challenge.<\/p>\n Minimalismihaaste on nyt puolimatkan krouvin paremmalla puolella, joten ajattelin v\u00e4h\u00e4n p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4\u00e4 t\u00e4h\u00e4n menness\u00e4 tapahtunutta. Vauhdissa pysyminen on ollut kohtalaisen helppoa, tuohon about 20. p\u00e4iv\u00e4\u00e4n asti. Varsin v\u00e4h\u00e4isill\u00e4 vaivoilla sain ker\u00e4tty\u00e4 ihan mukavasti pois pantavaa. Osa on mennyt ihan suorilta roskiin, mutta kirppiskassejakin on t\u00e4ytetty. I hate closets. They have way too deep shelves for me and there is always impractical space behind first row. I want to see everything in one glance, without taking stuff out first. Getting rid of useless stuff has also helped minimize the amount of stuff which is buried at the back row. Notice inspector kitty!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/a>
This closet hasn’t been organized since we moved. It was quite a mess. Now it has shelves for vintage waiting for repairs, work clothes, ballet garments etc.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/a>
