Uuden kalenterin hankkiminen ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottaminen on aika meditatiivinen prosessi. Valitsen kalenterin huolellisesti, ulkon\u00e4\u00f6n ja k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vyyden perusteella. Sen pit\u00e4\u00e4 n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 kivalta ja siin\u00e4 pit\u00e4\u00e4 olla tilaa kirjoittaa muutakin kuin kaksi sanaa per p\u00e4iv\u00e4, mutta mik\u00e4\u00e4n iso ajanvarauskalenteri sen ei tarvitse olla. Tykk\u00e4\u00e4n viivoituksesta, mutta ei se mik\u00e4\u00e4n ehdoton vaatimus ole.<\/p>\n

Olen pitk\u00e4\u00e4n halunnut kokeilla bullet journalia, mutta perfektionismi rajoittaa. Bujo-hommassa koko kalenteri pit\u00e4\u00e4 rakentaa itse tyhj\u00e4\u00e4n vihkoon. Kaupoista saa vihkoja, joissa on er\u00e4\u00e4nlainen pisteruudukko joka helpottaa niiden t\u00e4ytt\u00e4mist\u00e4. Alkuun tulee sis\u00e4llysluettelo, sitten kuukausin\u00e4kym\u00e4, viikkop\u00e4ivyri, teht\u00e4v\u00e4lista jne. Koko ulkoasun ja j\u00e4rjestyksen voi p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00e4\u00e4 itse. Olen toistaiseksi aivan liian pedantti ja perfektionisti sellaiseen. Pelkk\u00e4 kalenterin tekeminen kest\u00e4isi viikkoja, eik\u00e4 minulla oikein ole sellaiseen aikaakaan juuri nyt.<\/p>\n

L\u00f6ysin kuitenkin kalenterin joka l\u00e4hestyy ulkoasultaan enemm\u00e4n bujoa kuin perinteist\u00e4 kalenteria. Itse\u00e4ni perinteisess\u00e4 kalenterissa h\u00e4iritsee liian pieni muistiinpanoille varattu tila. Yleens\u00e4 sit\u00e4 on vain muutama tyhj\u00e4 sivu kalenterin lopussa. Niinp\u00e4 olenkin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4nyt kalenterin lis\u00e4n\u00e4 ohutta kierrevihkoa muistiinpanoille. Sekin on kuitenkin v\u00e4h\u00e4n hankalaa kun sitten kassissa py\u00f6rii kaksi irtonaista vihkosta. Ei t\u00e4ss\u00e4k\u00e4\u00e4n kalenterissa viel\u00e4 ole riitt\u00e4v\u00e4sti tyhj\u00e4\u00e4 sivutilaa, mutta olkoon t\u00e4m\u00e4 nyt sitten jonkinlainen kalenterin ja bujon v\u00e4limuoto-harjoitelma. Wreck this journal-projektin ansiosta olen rohkaistunut olemaan luovempi. K\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n mielikuvistusta ja vaikka teippaamaan irtonaisia sivuja kiinni kalenteriin jos tarve vaatii.<\/p>\n

Getting new diary and preparing it for use is quite meditative process for me. I choose the diary carefully, based on how it looks and it’s usability. It has to look nice and it must have room to write more than two words per day, but doesn’t really have to be hour-to-hour appointment calendar. I like printed lines, but that’s not mandatory.<\/p>\n

I have wanted to try bullet journal for quite some time now, but my perfectionism is limiting me. You have to make the whole diary yourself when you do bujo. Bookshops do sell blank notebooks with sort of dotted pages, which are easy to fill. You start with index, add monthly view, weekly calendar, to-do-list etc. You can basically decide the whole look and order of things yourself. I am way too pedantic and perfectionist to do that. Just creating the diary from scratch would take weeks, and I don’t really have time for such right now.<\/p>\n

However I managed to find diary which is more of a bujo-style than traditional diary. On the traditional calendar diaries I am disturbed by the small amount of blank pages for the notes at the back. So I have been carrying a notebook with the diary. That is not particularly handy either, because then you just have two books rolling around in your bag. This new diary still don’t have enough blank pages for notes, but atleast it is some sort of mix between fully selfmade bujo and regular diary. Wreck this journal-project has helped me to be more creative. To use my imagination and now I dare to even tape more pages to the diary if needed and so on.<\/p>\n
