Arvatkaas mihin koko kes\u00e4ni (ja lyhyt kes\u00e4lomani)<\/strong><\/span> on mennyt! Ompelemiseen. Olen ommellut kaikki vapaa-ajat, p\u00e4iv\u00e4t, illat ja melkein y\u00f6tkin. Vapaap\u00e4ivin\u00e4 olen aloittanut aamuni ompelemalla. Nyt olen aivan puhki ja t\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 tuntuu etten halua ommella en\u00e4\u00e4 ikin\u00e4 mit\u00e4\u00e4n. (Ennen seuraavaa kertaa, siis.)<\/strong><\/span> Pyh\u00e4 aikoimukseni oli ett\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4isin kahden viikon lomastani ensimm\u00e4isen viikon 1700-luvun kureliivin tekemiseen ja toisen viikon robe a l’anglaisen ompeluun. Noh, aikatauluarvioni heitti h\u00e4r\u00e4npylly\u00e4 ihan kunnolla. Kureliivin tekemiseen meni kolme viikkoa (olin aloittanut jo viikko ennen lomaa)<\/strong><\/span> vaikka ompelin kaiken mahdollisen koneella, joten angleesi j\u00e4i tekem\u00e4tt\u00e4. Sek\u00e4 kureliivin ett\u00e4 angleesin oli tarkoitus valmistua Mustion linnan piknikille. Menin sitten Mustioon pelk\u00e4ss\u00e4 aluspaidassa, kureliiviss\u00e4 ja hameessa, eli 1700-luvun mittapuulla skandal\u00f6\u00f6sisti l\u00e4hes puolialasti. Mustion j\u00e4lkeen oli tarkoitus ommella 1910-luvun kes\u00e4puku Turun taiteiden y\u00f6h\u00f6n. Aikaa kolme p\u00e4iv\u00e4\u00e4. Puku tuli k\u00e4ytt\u00f6kuntoon, mutta v\u00e4h\u00e4n timprausta se viel\u00e4 vaatii. Kunnollinen alusasu puuttuu ja istuvuutta pit\u00e4\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4n parantaa, sek\u00e4 huolitella muutama saumanvara. Ja Taiteideny\u00f6n j\u00e4lkeen aikaa oli vain kaksi p\u00e4iv\u00e4\u00e4 seuraavaan tapahtumaan, Vaasan kustavilaiseen p\u00e4iv\u00e4\u00e4n ja Postijahti-purjehdukseen. Ihan vain sekunnin p\u00e4\u00e4ss\u00e4ni h\u00e4iv\u00e4hti ajatus, ett\u00e4 josko tekisin sen angleesin t\u00e4h\u00e4n tapahtumaan. Onneksi j\u00e4rki saavutti p\u00e4\u00e4koppani ajoissa ja tyydyin vain tekem\u00e4\u00e4n sormettomat 1700-luvun k\u00e4sineet l\u00e4mmikkeeksi purjeveneeseen. HUH!<\/p>\n

Ja teh\u00e4n jo tied\u00e4ttekin ett\u00e4 mit\u00e4 tein ennen kureliivi\u00e4 ja 1910-luvun pukua, nimitt\u00e4in tuon renesanssipuvun. Huh mit\u00e4 haipakkaa. En ole ikin\u00e4 tehnyt n\u00e4in montaa historiallista asua n\u00e4in lyhyess\u00e4 ajassa. En edes tajua miten onnistuin siin\u00e4. Vauhti v\u00e4h\u00e4n huimaa p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4 kyll\u00e4. T\u00e4ll\u00e4 kertaa annan teille vain pikkuvilaukset n\u00e4ist\u00e4 viimeisimmist\u00e4 asuista ja teen paremmat postaukset paremmalla ajalla kunhan v\u00e4h\u00e4n alkaa t\u00e4m\u00e4 vauhdinhurma t\u00e4st\u00e4 laantua.<\/p>\n

Guess what I have been doing my whole Summer (and my short summer holiday)<\/strong><\/span>! Sewing. I have sewn all my free time, days, evenings and almost nights too. My days off I have started with sewing. Now I’m all worked out and at this moment it feels that I never want to sew anything anymore. (Before the next time, ofcourse.)<\/strong><\/span> My honest idea was to use first week of my two-week holiday for the 1700’s stays and the second week for robe a l’anglaise. Weeell, my estimate for the time consumption was way off. I mean waaaay off! It took three weeks to make stays (I started one week before holiday)<\/strong><\/span> even though I did everything I could with sewing machine. So I didn’t have any time to make the anglaise. I was going to wear those in the Mustio castle picnic. So I wore just chemise, stays and skirt, which was in 1700’s terms scandalously almost half naked. After that picnic I was going to sew 1910’s summer dress for Night of arts in Turku. I had three days. I managed to finish the dress for wearing, but it still needs some tweaking. I need proper underpinnings for it and then I have to alter the fitting of the dress. After the Night of arts I had only two days before the next event, Gustasvian day in Vasa and sailing with Postijahti, replica of 1679 post yacht. Only just a brief moment I had an idea in my mind to make the anglaise for this event. But thankfully the sense returned to my head in time. So I only made fingerless mitts to warm my hands on the sail boat. PHEW!<\/p>\n

And you already know what I made before these, the renaissance gown. What a speed. I have never ever made such many historical outfits in such a short time period. I don’t even understand how I managed to do it. My head is spinning a bit. Here is just a small glimpse of these latest outfits and I will do proper posts when I have more time and the head spinning has stopped.<\/p>\n
