<\/a><\/p>\nHave you ever really looked at old glass bottles? I mean properly? They are collectibles these days and of course, the older they are, the more valuable they are. Coca cola-bottles are naturally collectibles by brand. Old patent cap bottles have become really popular here in Finland. Worldwide, one of the popular items are victorian poison bottles. People of that time didn’t necessarily know how to read, so bottles were made colourfull and unusual shape so it would have been easier to separate them from others. And also easy to recognize in the dark. Pharmacy bottles are appealing to people because of the uniform shapes, but they are quite pricey these days.<\/p>\n
I found this pretty bottol from flea market in Spring. I liked it because of the lovely lable and funny name (Hoopoo)<\/strong><\/span>. Too bad the mouth has been chipped. If google is correct, this bottle might be from 1910’s. Once again, the old design in bottle and label is appealing to me. Pharmacy bottle I got from a friend long, long time ago. I have collected miniature vials just for fun, props for my lepidopterist and toxicologist Sophia van Cauhto-character. I don’t remember where I got those colourfull round bottomed vials. Perhaps they used to be perfume bottles. Scent bottles and smelling salt bottles are usually the most decorative ones of all. Also unusual shapes. Modern perfume\u00a0sample bottles are already a bit too unusual in shape with odd plastic caps. You can also get annoying stink with them. Not all caps are very tight. By the way, Tosca is one of the most popular perfumes still, almost 100 years after it was launched.\u00a0<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.evildressmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/oldbottles1.jpg?resize=588%2C1004\")
