Lopulta parhaaksi mets\u00e4stysmaaksi harmaalle v-aukkoiselle neuleelle osoittautuivat hyv\u00e4ntekev\u00e4isyyskirppisten miestenosastot. Maksoin omastani 1,50 \u20ac. Perusneuleen helmaan kirjailin Rohkelikko-tuvan v\u00e4rein raidat. Harmaata vekkihametta en t\u00e4h\u00e4n h\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00f6yt\u00e4nyt, joten jouduin tyytym\u00e4\u00e4n kaapissani jo majailevaan mustaan vekkihameeseen. My\u00f6hemmin varmaankin teen oikeanlaisen hameen kunhan l\u00f6yd\u00e4n sopivan v\u00e4rist\u00e4 harmaata kangasta. Asulle tuli hintaa neulelankoineen noin 25 \u20ac. Ett\u00e4 edullisestikin voi tehd\u00e4 cosplay-asun kun mielikuvitusta riitt\u00e4\u00e4. Tosin eih\u00e4n t\u00e4ll\u00e4 nyt ihan samoissa sarjoissa painita kuin Kupliin cosplay-kisan voittajat, mutta riitt\u00e4\u00e4 itselle hauskanpitoon.<\/p>\n
Now when I got my posting mojo back, I would like to start sorting my delayed post\u00a0with this overdue cosplay post. Tampere Kuplii comic con in March was the opportunity to express yourself via cosplay. Usually cosplay is considered atleast here in Finland to be something only teenagers and kids do. I think adults are equally allowed to, and they definitely should do it too. If you are not familiar with the term, it comes from words costume play and it means that you can wear outfit of any fictional character. Most common way to do it, is to copy any outfit as well as you can, but you can do it different ways too. You could make historical version, or steampunk version or swap the gender and make the costume accordingly. Most popular characters are the ones from computer and console games, cartoons, animations\u00a0and of course from Japanese comics\u00a0and anime. After all the term “cosplay” does come from Japan. However very early on people also started cosplaying characters from movies and tv-series.<\/p>\n I don’t have many cosplay outfits yet, because making them is time consuming, especially if you are perfectionist like me. Actually my first and only costume so far has been one from the Star Trek: original series<\/a>. That’s why I thought that I should so something really easy for once. World of Harry Potter is very popular amongst cosplayers and you can see\u00a0loads of various Hogwarts uniforms in most events. I thought, well that’s an easy outfit to make, all I need is some knitting yarn. After all, colourfull Hogwarts scarfs are very visible in all Harry Potter movies. Allthough as I understand, in the books (which I haven’t read)<\/strong><\/span> the uniform is just black cape with sleeves. Wizard school students are sorted in four different houses and dressed accordingly on specific colours and crests. Of course I got more greedy the further I got. I decided to add proper Gryffindor tie and crest to my outfit. I found them easily and very affordably online. But where to find proper gray jumper and pleated skirt?<\/p>\n I thought that it would be easy to find gray\u00a0basic jumper and skirt. I see them on flea markets all the time. Well didn’t see them when I would have wanted them. Finally the most productive place for gray v-neck jumper was men’s section at charity shop. I payed 1,50 \u20ac for mine. I revamped the jumper by embroidering the hem with Gryffindor colours. I could not find suitable gray pleat skirt, so I had to go with black pleat skirt I already had in my wardrobe. I’m probably going to make the actual skirt later when I can find fabric with correct colour. The cost of whole outfit with knitting yarns was about 25 \u20ac. So if you really want, you can make very affordable cosplay outfit.
