Olisiko kenties l\u00e4hd\u00f6ss\u00e4 kauppareisulle. Pikkutakin alla miehell\u00e4 on neulepaita jossa pieni pystykaulus. Jalassa n\u00e4ytt\u00e4isi olevan pitk\u00e4t saappaat, ehk\u00e4 jatsarit. P\u00e4\u00e4ss\u00e4 tyypillinen miesten p\u00e4\u00e4hine, l\u00e4ts\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Kuvan takana on leima Oy Foto Ab, Ta 1949. Oy Foto Ab:n perustettiin Turkuun vuonna\u00a01920. My\u00f6hemmin liikkeit\u00e4 oli my\u00f6s Tampereella, Helsingiss\u00e4 ja Kuopiossa. Ta 1949 saattaisi viitata siihen ett\u00e4 kuva on kehitetty Tampereella vuonna 1949, mutta varmaa tietoa t\u00e4st\u00e4 ei ole. Kuvassa ei ole muita merkint\u00f6j\u00e4. Miehen asu kyll\u00e4 sopii 40-luvun loppuun. Sodan j\u00e4lkeen t\u00e4m\u00e4 taisi olla aika tyypillinen ty\u00f6l\u00e4isv\u00e4est\u00f6n asu. Oma vaarinikin k\u00e4ytti samantyyppist\u00e4 asua viel\u00e4 lapsuudessani 70- ja 80-luvuilla.<\/p>\n

This months bike photo is more regular style. Middle aged man on the corner of a house, holding a bike. There is basket on the back of the bike. Perhaps he is going to the shop. He is wearing knitted sweater under a suit jacket. He is also wearing typical workers hat, a cap, and boots, possibly something called “jatsarit”, which are men’s boots with crinkled ankle. I don’t know if there is proper English name for this type of boot, or if they were even used outside Finland.<\/p>\n

At the backside of the photo is label Oy Foto Ab, Ta 1949. Company was founded in 1920 in Turku. Later there was also shops in Tampere, Helsinki and Kuopio. Ta 1949 might refer on the shop in Tampere and 1949 is possibly the printing year. However there is no confirmation on this. There is no other markings on the photo. Person’s outfit does fit on the style of late 1940’s. I suppose this was quite common outfit for workers of that era. My grandfather was using similar clothes even in my childhood in 70’s and 80s.<\/p>\n
