Pusero oli osa Historical Sewing Monthlya, joka sitten kes\u00e4n j\u00e4lkeen l\u00e4ss\u00e4hti osaltani kuin pannukakku. Nyt puseron ymp\u00e4rille l\u00f6ytyi ihan kokonainen asu hattuineen, kenkineen p\u00e4ivineen. Joskus asun kokoaminen kest\u00e4\u00e4 pidemp\u00e4\u00e4n, mutta t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tapauksessa odottaminen\u00a0ehdottomasti kannatti. Kes\u00e4ll\u00e4 kun syliini l\u00e4hes tupsahtivat sopivat keng\u00e4tkin, oikeasti vanhat. 1900-luvun alun tyyliin saapikkaat ovat aika tiukat vaikka ovatkin omaa kokoani. Belle epoque (= kaunis aika)<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nEnsimm\u00e4isen maailmansodan j\u00e4lkeen syntynyt k\u00e4site kuvaamaan sotaa edelt\u00e4nytt\u00e4 aikaa, noin 1871-1914. Nimi kuvaa toisaalta aikakautta nostalgisessa mieless\u00e4, mutta my\u00f6skin teknisen, tieteellisen ja kulttuurisen kehityksen ja optimismin kannalta. T\u00e4m\u00e4 oli kulta-aikaa niin kirjallisuudessa, teatterissa kuin maalaustaiteessakin. Ensimm\u00e4iset todelliset muotitalot ja kosmetiikkateollisuus alkoivat kehitty\u00e4. Poliittisesti t\u00e4m\u00e4 pitk\u00e4hk\u00f6 rauhan aika oli otollinen ammattiliittojen ja ty\u00f6v\u00e4enpuolueiden syntymiselle.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Week ago at Vapriikki-vintage I wanted to wear something elaborate. I finally got to use my 1900’s high collar blouse<\/a> for the first time. I made blouse as a part of Historical Sewing Monthly, which sort of flopped on me after the summer. Now I eventually have a whole outfit with hats and shoes and all. Sometimes it takes long time to put the whole outfit together, but in this case it was definitely worth waiting. Last summer I practically bumped into perfect vintage shoes. Early 1900’s boots are quite narrow and tight even though they are my size. They are not for long walks, but work nicely for events when you don’t have to walk much. Especially if you can have replacement shoes with you, just in case. Perfect, period accurate props for photo was provided by Museum center Vapriikki.<\/p>\n

Belle epoque (= beautiful age)<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nTerm was created after the First World War to describe time before the war, around 1871-1914. It describes this optimistic time period in nostalgic fashion, but also from the technological, scientific and cultural point of view. It was the golden time in literature, theater and art. First true fashion houses and cosmetic industry was launched. Politically this long period of peace was perfect for forming unions and labour parties.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This time I didn’t do very big shopping in Vapriikki-vintage. I only bought two long hat pins. They came in very handy because the two hat pins I had with me didn’t do proper job on holding my hat in place. So my hat pin collection<\/a> is growing nicely. I don’t encounter these older long ones very often with affordable prices.<\/p>\n
