Sain korjattua aiemmin esittelem\u00e4ni 20-lukuisen vintagetakin. Koristeet muodostuvat rei’itettyyn puuvillatylliin pujotelluista ja kierretyist\u00e4 ripsinauhoista. Kauluksessa ripsinauhat olivat paikoin puhki kuluneet, mutta huolellisella parsimisella sain kauluksen n\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n suht ehj\u00e4lt\u00e4. Takki on nyt k\u00e4ytt\u00f6kuntoinen ja k\u00e4ytinkin sit\u00e4 jo jouluna. K\u00e4yt\u00f6n yhteydess\u00e4 kuitenkin ilmeni muutamia ongelmia.<\/p>\n

Toinen hiha on noin 3 sentti\u00e4 pidempi kuin toinen. T\u00e4m\u00e4 johtuu siit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 toisen hihan koriste on ommeltu kolmisen sentti\u00e4 ylemm\u00e4s kuin toisen. Samoin toinen hiha tuntuu jotenkin oudosti vet\u00e4v\u00e4n harteista p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4. T\u00e4ytyy hieman tutkia ett\u00e4 pit\u00e4\u00e4k\u00f6 toinen hiha istuttaa uudelleen vai mist\u00e4 on kyse. Takki kuitenkin tuntuu hieman ep\u00e4mukavalta p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 t\u00e4m\u00e4n vuoksi. Pedanttina ihmisen\u00e4 tuollaiset pikkuviat h\u00e4iritsev\u00e4t p\u00e4ivitt\u00e4iseen k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n ajatellussa vaatteessa v\u00e4h\u00e4n liikaa. Lis\u00e4ksi n\u00e4ytt\u00e4isi v\u00e4h\u00e4n sille ett\u00e4 takki on mittasuhteiltaan minulle hiukan pitk\u00e4. I managed to fix the 1920’s vintage coat, which I posted here last month. Decorations are made by weaving and twisting grosgrain ribbon through little holes in the cotton tulle. Ribbons were pretty badly worn on the collar, but I managed to repair it to look pretty good. Coat is now wearable as such, and I already used it during Christmas. However I noticed some problems while using it.<\/p>\n

One sleeve is about 3 cm longer than the other. This is caused by the fact that the sleeve decoration has been sewn 3 cm lower than the other. Also one sleeve feels like it’s pulling on the shoulder when wearing the coat. I have to investigate what is causing it. I might have to refit the sleeve on the shoulder. Coat feels slightly uncomfortable to wear because of this. As a pedantic person these kind of small issues would bother me in a garment meant for daily use. Also when looking at the photo, it seems that coat is slightly too long for me. I was thinking of perhaps making it 10 cm shorter. This would give me also some material to patch worn out area near the neckline. I also have to add couple snap buttons and tighten the loop for the button.<\/p>\n
