Voihan joulukuu. Miten kiireinen olitkaan. P\u00e4\u00e4simme viimein kunnolla tutustumaan l\u00e4hiseutuun joka vaikuttaa perin maalaiselta, mutta oikein kivalta. Olemme saaneet ihastella talven kauneutta ja rakentaa sen keskelle pes\u00e4\u00e4 jonne k\u00e4perty\u00e4 rentoutumaan. Tulevan vuoden toiveista kerroin jo v\u00e4h\u00e4n edellisess\u00e4 postauksessa. Konkreettisesti se tarkoittaa sit\u00e4 ett\u00e4 kohta pit\u00e4\u00e4 alkaa miettim\u00e4\u00e4n tarkemmin siemenasioita hy\u00f6tykasvilavaa varten. Varmasti ainakin aiemmassa postauksessa mainitsemani salaatinlehdet, ruohosipuli ja kes\u00e4kurpitsa p\u00e4\u00e4sev\u00e4t alkukev\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4\u00a0multiin. Hortailun suhteen pit\u00e4\u00e4 toistaiseksi tyyty\u00e4 perehtym\u00e4\u00e4n erilaisiin villivihanneksiin ja odottaa kev\u00e4tt\u00e4. Niist\u00e4 eniten kiinnostavat t\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 nokkonen ja kuusenkerkk\u00e4. Tosin kerkkien ker\u00e4\u00e4minen jonkun muun mailta ei\u00a0kuulu jokamiehenoikeuksiin. Luvan kysym\u00e4ll\u00e4 toki sit\u00e4kin voi tehd\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Historiallisten pukujen suhteen minulla on jo suunnitelmia. T\u00e4m\u00e4 vuosi, kuten tied\u00e4tte, on Suomen 100-vuotis juhlavuosi ja pukuhistoriaa harrastava porukkamme on p\u00e4\u00e4tt\u00e4nyt juhlistaa sit\u00e4 asianmukaisin menoin. T\u00e4m\u00e4 edellytt\u00e4\u00e4\u00a01910-luvun asua vapaavalintaisessa tyyliss\u00e4. Tapahtumia tulee luultavasti olemaan useampia, joten sek\u00e4 arkisempi ett\u00e4 juhlavampi asu tulevat kyseeseen. Sen lis\u00e4ksi tiedossa on toki kaikki muut vanhemman ajan historianel\u00e4v\u00f6itys-tapahtumat. Ja ettei homma k\u00e4visi liian helpoksi niin t\u00e4n\u00e4 vuonna my\u00f6s Worldcon, maailman suurin scifi-tapahtuma\u00a0saapuu Suomeen. Ett\u00e4 tuota, pukurintamalla piisaa kiirett\u00e4. Niist\u00e4 kirjoittelen ihan pian lis\u00e4\u00e4.<\/p>\n

Oh December. How busy you were. We were finally able to properly investigate our local neighbourhood, which seems very rural, but quite nice. We’ve had the opportunity to admire proper wintery weather and build our cozy little nest to curl up and relax. I already told you about my hopes for the coming year in my previous post. In reality that means that soon I have to start thinking about what seeds to buy for the Spring. I’m sure there will be atleast some lettuce, chives and zuccini. When it comes to horta hunting I just have to wait the Spring to arrive and meanwhile learn as much as I can about the wild vegetables. I’m mostly interested in stinging nettle and spruce. Allthough collecting newgrown ends of spruce branches is now allowed without landowners permission. Unlike collecting berries, mushrooms and wild herbs, which is everyman’s right to do.<\/p>\n

For historical outfits I already have plans. This year, as you might know already, is the 100th birthday for Finland. Our little historical costumers group has decided to celebrate accordingly. This means I have to have 1910’s outfit in the style of my choise. There probably will be several events along those lines, so both everyday outfit and more elaborate party dress will do. Then there is of course all the other historical events from older eras. And not to make it too easy, the biggest scifi convention, Worldcon is coming to Finland this year too. So, there is quite a lot to do for the costuming this year. I will post more about those plans soon.<\/p>\n
