Olen kituutellut melkein nelj\u00e4 vuotta yksill\u00e4 pehmeill\u00e4 baletin harjoitustossuilla. Uuden kauden kunniaksi p\u00e4\u00e4tin hommata uudet. SoDancan tossuissa ei sin\u00e4ns\u00e4 mit\u00e4\u00e4n isoa vikaa ole, mutta kiristett\u00e4v\u00e4 kuminauha (tai l\u00e4hinn\u00e4 sen solmu)<\/strong><\/span> hiert\u00e4\u00e4 jalkap\u00f6yt\u00e4\u00e4 ik\u00e4v\u00e4sti. Olin aikonut tilata Blochin Pro Elastic-tossut joissa kiristyskuminauha on korvattu leve\u00e4ll\u00e4 kiinte\u00e4ll\u00e4 kuminauhalla. Sitten menin piruuttani Piruettiin katsomaan valikoimaa. Siell\u00e4 sattuikin olemaan t\u00f6iss\u00e4 tuttu kasvo balettitunneilta. Niinp\u00e4 sitten p\u00e4\u00e4dyinkin ostamaan Helin\u00e4n<\/a> suosituksesta Merletin Stellat. I have managed almost four years with one pair of soft baller slippers. I decided to launch the new season with new slippers. There isn’t really that much wrong with SoDanca slippers, but the drawstring elastic (the knot to be precise)<\/strong><\/span> rubs my feet quite annoyingly. I was going to order Bloch Pro Elastic slippers with wide solid elastic. Then I popped in local ballet shop, Piruetti, to check what they have to offer. Familiar face from my ballet class happened to work there. So I ended up buying Merlet Stella slippers, on Helin\u00e4’s <\/a>recommendation. They fit better than SoDanca slippers and there is no draw string to rub my feet. Even the elastics were already sewn on. Size is two sizes larger than SoDanca, but that doesn’t really matter. Only thing I don’t like on soft slippers is the uneven and lumpy sole. Especially when standing on releve the sole feels very uncomfortably uneven. There is always thicker area under the ball of the foot, due to the construction of the slipper, but it still nags me.<\/p>\n

There’s also been some problems with pointe shoes. Invisible elastics seem to get loose very easily, which causes the heel to come out of the shoe. I have already resewn them once, but the right shoe seems to need another sewing already. Even though pointe shoes are quite soft already, demipointe still gives me grief. It feels like the edge of the box is preventing me to go demipointe. Even though I have tried to soften the edge. When on pointe, I feel the weight is now completely on my big toes. This issue occurred recently and it really gives rough time for\u00a0the big toe. I have added more filling\u00a0(lambs wool)<\/strong><\/span> over the smaller toes inside my silicone padding, but that hasn’t completely removed the pain. I was wondering, is it possible that\u00a0the box is going to give in the width support? Earlier the weight was distributed more evenly on the whole ball of the foot. I might have to buy new pointe shoes at the end of the year if I can’t find solution.<\/p>\n
