<\/a><\/p>\nOh deary me the time flies! Where did the July go? Are all my Instagram posts starting the same way? Oh no! I had pretty big expectations for July. I thought I would have some holiday and do nice stuff like be lazy. But my hopes run dry, now the holiday is postponed to August, which is not that bad. I still did all sorts of nice stuff in July.<\/p>\n
First thing there was Suvi-vintage at Tallipiha, which is one of the local vintage fairs. I didn’t really make that much finds, because I’m a bit lazy to try clothes on. Thankfully my vintage wardrobe is quite well equipped so I don’t really need much. Then there was Lumous Dark Market. Even though I’m not really into goth stuff, I sometimes like to check out that market for steampunk ideas. There was also supposed to be steampunk themed picnic, but the organizing was a bit of a failure. No-one seemed to know where the picnic was supposed to be held so people arriving just decided themselves to have it there where they assumed it could have been. I would have hoped a bit better planning from organizers (apparently the organizer wasn’t even there)<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n After these local events I also made couple trips around with friends. One trip to Salo area flea markets and evening market and another one to Pori flea markets and second visit to Kukkilintumuseum in Harjavalta. Travelling locally is the best Summer activity. And the month was finished with perfect mushroom hunt. Couple weeks ago we tried the first time, but didn’t find any mushrooms. This time we found plenty of Chanterrels and Hedgehog mushrooms, which are not so common to find. So it was even more special to find enough for creamy hedgehog mushroom sauce with steaks. I’m not much of a berry picker, because it’s so slow, but mushrooms I’m happy to pick.<\/p>\n In August I will finally have my rest, I am in desperate need of holiday already. On Thursday there is the Night of the Events, with all sorts of art performances and such. Saturday I have the chance to get the 1700’s picnic athmosphere. In Vaasa they are having Gustavian day and picnic on 6.8.2016. The Old Vaasa museom has free entry on Saturday too. Finally I’m able to wear my new bergere hat. Mid August there is also Night of the Arts in Turku (similar to Night of the Events in Tampere)<\/strong><\/span> where I would love to visit. Last time when we went there couple years ago it was so short we missed most of the stuff. Keep your fingers crossed that the weather still stays good in August for us!<\/p>\n
