Reseptien testaaminen on v\u00e4h\u00e4n unohtunut kaikenlaisen muun kiireen alla. Osa resepteist\u00e4 on omaan makuuni jokseenkin monimutkaisen tuntuisia, mutta t\u00e4m\u00e4 kes\u00e4inen juoma on helppo ja nopea valmistaa. Kirjan mukaan sit\u00e4 on perinteisesti tarjottu naisille aina aterian j\u00e4lkeen. Erityisen hyvin se sopii mielest\u00e4ni kes\u00e4ll\u00e4 tarjoiltavaksi vaikkapa puutarhajuhlissa tai talkoiden janojuomana. Min\u00e4 tarjosin sit\u00e4 limsan\u00a0sijaan kuorotreeneiss\u00e4.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Sitruunainen ohrajuoma<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n1,5 dl ohraryynej\u00e4<br \/>\nreilu litra vett\u00e4<br \/>\n2 sitruunan mehu<br \/>\n4-6 tl hienosokeria<\/p>\n<p>Huuhtele ohraryynit siivil\u00e4ss\u00e4 juoksevalla vedell\u00e4, kunnes siivil\u00e4st\u00e4 valuva vesi on kirkasta. It&#8217;s the last book of three with some interesting recipes. I keep meaning to try the recipes, but there&#8217;s been other things to do so it&#8217;s not going very well. Some of the recipes are quite complicated to my taste, but this summery drink is easy and quick to make. According to the book, it&#8217;s traditionally served for ladies after a meal. I think it goes especially\u00a0nicely as beverage for garden parties or summer fairs or such. I served it in our choir practice, instead of fizzy drinks.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Lemon barley drink<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">1,5 dl of barley grains<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">over a liter of water<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">juice of two lemons<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\">4-6 tea spoons of fine sugar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Rinse barley with running water, until water runs clear through sieve. Pour rinsed barley and water into the pan and bring to boil. Allow to simmer about 20 minutes. Pour liquid into a jug and add juice from the lemons and sugar. Allow to cool down in room temperature, and then store in fridge until served. You can adjust amount of lemon and sugar to your liking.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I made double portion which serves one glass for about ten people. You can use the boiled barley grains for side dish or salad. I used them for oven porridge: pour boiled barley into a high medium size oven pan. Add about 1 to 1,3 liters of milk and about 1 tea spoon of salt. Bake in oven in 200 Celcius for about an hour.
