Olen koko talven odottanut ett\u00e4 joko-joko-joko ne kelit l\u00e4mpenee ett\u00e4 saan laittaa leve\u00e4lahkeiset palazzohousut jalkaan. No, kes\u00e4 tuli. Ensin oli niin l\u00e4mmint\u00e4 ett\u00e4 piti hyp\u00e4t\u00e4 suoraan hellemekkoihin. Nyt on sitten ollut niin sateista ett\u00e4 valkoiset, maata laahaavat lahkeet eiv\u00e4t ole ihan se kaikkein fiksuin valinta. Pestyjen pellavahousujen silitt\u00e4minen kun ei ole sit\u00e4 kivointa hommaa. Pellava pit\u00e4isi silitt\u00e4\u00e4 hiukan kosteana jotta se sili\u00e4\u00e4 parhaiten.<\/p>\n

Niin ihanat kuin valkoiset palazzot ovatkin,\u00a0en jaksa noita pellavahousuja kovin montaa kertaa kes\u00e4ss\u00e4 pest\u00e4 ja silitt\u00e4\u00e4, joten oli pakko keksi\u00e4 joku toinen ratkaisu. Niinp\u00e4 sitten tein mustasta paksummasta trikoosta tuommoiset kasuaalimmat palazzohousut. K\u00e4ytin aivan samaa kaavaa kuin pellavahousuihinkin, mutta otin vy\u00f6t\u00e4r\u00f6lt\u00e4 ja lantiolta pikkuisen sis\u00e4\u00e4n. Housuissa ei ole vetoketjua eik\u00e4 napitusta. Ne vain kiskaistaan jalkaan lantion yli, napakka trikoo kyll\u00e4 joustaa sen verran. I have waited whole Winter when-when-when is the weather warm enough for me to wear my palazzo pants. Well, now it’s Summer. First it was too warm for pants. Now it’s so rainy that white, full-length pants are not the most clever idea. Ironing washed linen trousers is not the nicest job either. Linen should be ironed damp, to get the best result.<\/p>\n

As lovely as the white palazzo’s are, I just can’t be bothered to wash and iron the linen pants too many times per Summer, so I had to come up with another solution. I made another pair, of black thick jersey. A bit more casual style. I used same pattern than for the linen pants, but I made waist and hips slightly narrower. There is no zip nor buttons, I\u00a0just pull them on. Thick jersey stretches enough for that. I also added tie-belts on side seams. Jersey assumably gets some pilling in time, like mixed fabrics usually do. When that happens, I can move these from my casual-wardrobe to my homewear-wardrobe. After all, they are really comfy for lounging too.<\/p>\n
